Definitely Gillian. Reyes' personaility for one was a turn-off, whether Annabeth Gish is a cool chick or not.

I think the worst episode that is not in Season 8 or 9 (too many too choose from, and 8/9 are non existent in my book anyway) is either 1) "Space" (Season 1), 2) "Teso Dos Bichos" (Season 3), 3) "Travelers" (Season 5), or 4) "Fight Club" (Season 7). And "The Field Where I Died" (Season 4) and "Ghost In the Machine" (Season 1) come in at honorable mention.

Out of those 6 listed, 3 of them were written by Chris Carter. He could write some good ones, but he could write some CRAPPY ones, too.

What's everyone least fave episode from Seasons 1-7?

You think "The Field Where I Died" is one of the worst? I always thought it was one of the more interesting episodes.

Personally, I've never been a huge fan of "Szyzegy" because it was rife with cliches.

I consider it to be a very boring ep. It's a good story but I don't think it fit very well with The X-Files.

And Szyzegy - lol! Not a stellar episode for sure. Mulder is pure assh*le in that ep. But one of my favorite quotes from Scully comes from that ep, too: "Sure. Fine. <snapping of latex> Whatever."

SLAM! You are absolutely incorrect, Kate!

Your great quote there comes from the episode BEFORE Syzegy, in "War of the Coprophages". A very good episode, by the way--nothing like a good robotic and extraterrestrial cockroach story!!

Syzegy has the 2 high school girls who kill anyone who does anything bad to them. Although getting killed by a spring from a garage door is a pretty original idea...

Sorry Chap, but you are wrong!

The whole quote is:

Mulder: "If it's no bother -- if it's not too big a deal -- maybe you can get me a few photographs of that thing which bears absolutely no resemblence to a horny beast."

Scully: "Sure. Fine. (SNAPS on latex glove) Whatever."

Here are some sites that will show that my quote was from Syzegy!

WotC was a good ep though! "Bambi!? Her name is BAMBI?!?!"

It's ok Chap, we all make mistakes. I forgive you, OK? (just playin with ya!)

I used to watch X-Files every Sunday, until after the movie. The series really lost a lot of steam for me, due to the fact that the entire conspiracy had been revealed.

I'd really like to muck in like the rest of you, and discuss my favorite episodes and such. But I haven't seen a complete episode in years.

Who is going to loan me their DVD's so I can catch up?

Chap just learned a lesson I learned too- never argue with Kate about the x- files.

Okay, I'm getting into this thread late, and another big problem is that I haven't really seen an episode in a long time.

But aside from Seinfeld, the X-Files is my favorite all-time show, and it makes me sad and nostalgic for the days when I looked forward to a new episode every week. To show you how much a fan I am of the show...the movie came out on June 19th, which was also my wedding day...and I went to see it in the morning

Still I haven't seen them lately enough to have a top 5 list. I know Jose Chung is a classic.

The one episode that was a season finale in season 7 or 8 I think, when Scully finds that ship under the beach...and how the camera panned out, and the music...one of the best ends of an episode ever, in my opinion.

Not sure the name of it, but one of my all-time favorites is the one with the imbred family who buried the baby in the baseball field. That was a spooky, and just classic x-files.

Anyways, I wish I had the DVD's so I could start watching them all again. Or it would be just great if Sci-Fi would start them from the beginning or something, so we could watch them in order.

Mike

DOH!

That's right, I got Scully's bad attitudes confused in those two episodes.

Yeah, that was "Biogenesis" the season finale of Season 6. That was definitely a cool moment - seeing the camera pan out to find Scully atop the alien ship. I wasn't a huge fan of that path taken with the mytharc, but it was still a cool episode.

"Home" from Season 4 - GREAT EPISODE. It was so controversial that it was the first time XF debuted with a Parental Advisory before the ep started and that episode was also banned from syndication, too.

You can borrow mine after Ken get's done with 'em, heh!
