My favorite episode has to be the one about Tuttle, which I just saw again today for about the hundredth time.

ditto - great show - probably next to seinfeld, one of the best sitcoms ever.
hilarious but i don't watch the syndication as much anymore since i've been buying them on dvd. for one they are just a little bit longer than the ones shown on tv because of scenes that are cut due to commercial's being run. also, the quality is better on dvd than normal broadcast.

Best Sitcom of all time. M*A*S*H was able to combine slapstick funny, dry humor, and every kind of joke in between with serious, heartfelt storylines, believable characters, and good dramatic situations. Most of the situations may have been outlandish, but that wasn't the point. The show ran for far longer than the war ever did, but that wasn't the point either. I'm a military man and am heavily in favor of the war in Iraq, but even though this show was strongly anti-war, I still loved it. And of course the medical scenes are beyond compare...accurate and real.
And, with such illustrious characters as Colonels Potter and Blake, BJ and Trapper, Klinger and Radar, Frank and Winchester, Hotlips and, of course, Hawkeye Pierce...as well as the rest of the cast, how can you miss.
Best intro line EVER..."Hello, Ferret Face!"---BJ on meeing Burns.

Thank you for breaking the circle of suck, Bidwill--Stout, December 7 2008.
A bump for the most brilliant show of its time. The original movie was alright, but the show is one of the all time most intelligently written programs of all time. Even though I've seen most episodes countless times I still love catching re-runs of this show whenever I can (which is convenient as its on like a dozen times a day on three different channels).
One of my favorite semi-reoccurring characters would have to be Colonel Flagg (aka the CIA master of disguise)...
"Nobody can get the truth out of me because even I don't know what it is. I keep myself in a constant state of utter confusion."
My favorite line is when Colonel Blake is on the phone with his wife, and he's frustrated because he has some sort of crisis going on & doesn't have time to be dealing with her problems, and then his wife puts their son on the phone. I can't remember all of the conversation, but it ends with "Stop hitting your sister with the dog!" The visual on that just cracks me up.
