The O.C.
My name is Mike Olbinski, and I love the O.C. 
I know there are more guys out there who share the same feelings.
Okay, all joking aside, this is just a great show. The characters are awesome, and the chemistry between the cast members is absolutely perfect.
Adam Brody rules the show...he's hilarious, and when he and Ryan get together, it's just funny as heck.
Girls of course are way good looking, so that helps. But the show's writing and wit is just perfect.

I watched the first 4 episodes but haven't seen it since then. I thought it was pretty good.
I think the last one I saw was when they all went to Palm Springs with that psycho kid.

I don't really have a liking for it.

I tried watching it, but it's just a stupid soap. Why not just watch daytime soaps instead?

Exactly... I watched one, and that was it for me... Previews looked cool but then it was just the A,B,C scenario in another setting... |

Sorry myself, but that's the opinion of someone who doesn't watch the show.
The writing is completely different than a soap opera...I mean COMPLETELY...and there is great humor that a soap doesn't have.
Anyways, it's very entertaining, and nothing like a soap opera.
And what you described above are plots for about a million different shows and movies.
