It was actually pretty good once you got past the first half hour of screaming women. Why is it when you have more than 2 women together it turns into a screaming and giggling fest.

I want the family that lost their father out. They annoy the crap out of me. I laughed when the little girl out ran the entire family. I'm rooting for the little girls family!

LOL. Me too. I tuned in late and heard one of the families say "it's just us and the black family". That was pretty funny when I realized that they weren't being jerks.

I think the "Black" family thing was hilarious. Too bad they got out so early.

When Phil said at the start of tonight, I almost died laughing. It is like an Eddie Murphy skit from SNL.

I think if they don't kick out the brooklyn family next week I'm going to stop watching. The constant arguing with the kids and the mom is just too much to handle, like fingernails on a chalkboard. They've been nearly last twice already I'm hoping they are dead last next time.

I also am getting fed up with the 3 girls and the dad team, dad can't keep up, wait for dad, so who do they send to look for the person with the briefcase, of course dad.

I'm not sure which genius said it but one girl during the Civil war thing with muskets going off said "it's like being in the middle of the Civil War." Hello, it's a civil war re-enactment!

So far this is the worst Amazing Race.

One of the girls in the 3 girls with the Dad team is hot though. I do think there Dad is a woose though.

We call that Brooklyn team "The Stupids" they will be out soon.

I am hoping they head to Phoenix, it was cool on the Amazing Race that ended at Papago Park, and went to SDS.

I don't recall ever wanting a team to be ELIMINATED as badly as I do those Brooklynites, I am so tired of their bickering and eye rolling. I really thought that was their last leg.

I like the sisters, if they could just stop screaming and surprisingly I also like the team with the younger rug rats too, singing "She'll be coming around the mountain" while being pushed in that Amish buggy was a hoot, and the Father/Son-in-Law team.

I agree that this is not the best race ever run but I am such an Amazing Race junkie that I am still enjoying it.

I think we are the only ones watching it.

I thought it was cool that team won free gas for life. My wife said that was better than winning the million.

Is this an all-US race?

I was trying to compute just how much that is, seems like there's gotta be some stipulations to stop you from taking all your friends to Arco for free gas too.

Huntsville was kind of funny. Lucy and I were watching some show on Travel channel where the guy was eating catfish and hushpuppies and I said to Lucy when I went to Huntsville for work, that's all everyone tried to get me to eat. So 2 hours later, they're in Huntsville. I gotta say if any of the teams had got lost there I'd have lost all respect for them, you can't imagine an easier area to get around in for an out of town person, seems like everything came off of 2 highways, I'm terrible at sense of direction and even I didn't need more than the map that came in the rental car.

It could be.

I am enjoying this US trip. The bus ride to the "mystery location", mud bogging ( ? ) pulling the heads of a really big pile of shrimp, spinning at 3 gs? Good stuff.

I have to agree with your wife GAS for LIFE, even from Arco, worth way more than the million --- those daughters seem to have many more years of driving ahead of them.

Last night I lost my little band of father/sons-in-laws who were gracious under elimination. I was also able to take the Brooklynites without a cringe; moving the Jesus praising mama and her band of whiney brats into position my least favorite team. Not that I have anything against Jesus and/or praising but I’m pretty sure the maker and his son have better things to watch over than who wins the Amazing Race.

Amen

From day one that team has annoyed the crap out of me. Not to be a jerk or anything but if that was my family I would jump in front of a car. I'm shocked that they are still in it. If they leave the US they are done!

IMO the reason that they are still in the US is because of the size of the teams. There is no way you can fit a team of 4 plus a camera man in those tiny cars overseas. You need big SUVs and you only really find those in the US.

I just did some quick computing here - let's say the average gas tank is 20 gallons on a truck/SUV. At $3.00/gallon = $60.

If you go through a tank a week, that's $60 x 52 = $3,152/year.

The girls are in their early 20s, let's say each has 50 driving yrs left. We'll add dad too, cuz maybe the girls live longer.

$3,152 x 50 = $157,600 x 4 people = $630,400 total.

Now if they are able to get Big Gulps, hotdogs snacks & beer too, that number may approach a million.

I garentee that there is fine print. Probably something like $20 worth of gas a week for life.

Depends on the payout, but you may have to adjust for inflation.
