Survivor: Pearl Islands

Watched this with my wife tonight. We've never watched an entire season of Survivor yet. We usually tune in once the tribes have merged.

Very cool episode, nice start to this season.

Pirate theme is very cool.

It replays Sunday night, so I won't go into too much detail, but it was entertaining to say the least.

Also - there was a preview for Matrix: Revolutions shown during the episode.

Watched it of course, and this had to be one of the best first episodes yet.

Throwing them overboard without anything was a stroke of genius.

And you gotta love Rubert and how he stole their shoes, although you never saw any reaction from the other tribe about that.

I liked it, looks like some interesting people, should be a fun season.

And after this one is the Survivor: All-Stars...which should just rock.

Have they said where that one will be, or who will be on it?

Is it the previous winners plus some runner-ups?

That was a pretty cool first episode.
***spoilers below???****

I think the other tribe that got their stuff stolen maybe just assumed that some of the villagers took the stuff???

Talk about being stupid - that team has a bunch of idiots : Osten - sells all clothes except for undies, leaving their stuff without anyone watching, buying no real items to transport alot of water at once (a pan & water bottles just won't get it done), building a shelter under a crumbling cliff & not raising it above the ground, not, going a day & a half before notcing the watering hole location on the map, Tijuana saying that nobody should be drinking anymore water as she is chugging away on a bottle, Nicole wanting to vote Tijuana off just because she is annoying & just blatenetly coming out to the Scout LEader without feeling her out and seeing where her thoughts were.......ugh.

The other tribe seemed to be more organized and cooperative but man, those skeeters were nasty by the watering hole.

Great first episode!! Loved the reaction on the start.

Osten's tribe is kinda clueless - it will be interesting to see how long they all last - not realizing that the water hole was marked on the map - priceless!!

Hagrid is da bomb!! I can see him really getting into the "pirate" theme - although I thought he was busy filming the next "Harry Potter".

He's totally Hagrid, that's awesome. Rubert is my favorite so far, he's just hilarious. I hope he goes a long way, arrr matey!

They have offers to like 40 of the previous, and I think a few of them are Rich, Tina and Colby, but I pray Rob is on it from the last one.

No clue where it will be though, just heard it's going to be on in February? or start filming then at least.

But I digress!

I enjoyed the episode as well. I, too, think the other tribe probably thought the villagers stole their stuff. Would have loved to see their reactions while they were watching that episode at home.

And, I must say, it was nice to see the guys get naked first. (Well, Rich from Survivor 1 did get naked, but he's not my type.)

Should be a neat season!

From the tv preview: There is going to be a challenge between the tribes. Winning tribe gets to loot the other tribe's camp.

No doubt - the only tribe close is suckiness is from Australia - the one that got saved by Michael falling in the fire!
