Survivor: Guatemala
Jeff Probst: Hidden deep in the rain forests of Central America stands the ruins of an ancient civilization that once prospered and then vanished. These were the Maya people and this is the country of Guatemala. These stunning cities of the past stand as clues to a mystery thousands of years old. While Europe was in the dark ages, it was the Maya who harnessed the knowledge of the stars and the celestial movements to create a mystical union of man, nature, and the gods. It was a world of great kings, eloborate ceremonies, feirce battles, and even human sacrafice. Eighteen survivors will be marooned within this mysterious and rugged terrain. For the first time, the castaways will actually live within the ruins of a banished civilization and they will be forced to embrace the ancient Maya lifestyle. Join us this fall as the adventure continues with SURVIVOR: Guatemala, The Maya Empire.

When are they going to have Surivior:Compton?
I'd watch that. Get a bunch of snobby people and have them live in Compton, the one who actually survives gets the million dollars or whatever. For stunts, they will successfully have to join a gang, hold up a liquor store, shoot someone and so forth.

Survivor: Guatemala Castaways Announced
Source: CBS
August 11, 2005
CBS today announced 16 new castaways to compete in Survivor: Guatemala -- The Maya Empire. The castaways will begin their adventure with a grueling 11 mile hike through the jungle when the eleventh installment of the Emmy Award-winning hit series premieres Thursday, Sept. 15 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network.
Survivor: Guatemala -- The Maya Empire takes place amid the ancient Mayan ruins and ceremonial sites (some as many as 2,000 years old) located in the northern area of Guatemala. Amid the excruciating triple-digit heat, crocodile infested waters, relentless mosquitoes and terrifying sounds of the howler monkeys, these new castaways will attempt to "Outwit, Outplay and Outlast" in hopes of winning the $1 million prize and title of "Ultimate Survivor." Gary Hogeboom?
Seems kind of odd, he's the first one I remember who was actually "famous" before going on the show. I'm sure the others will find out who he is and vote him out.
