Wow was Judd's farewell the most bitter since Sue tore up Richard on the final jury speech in the original?
Judd said thanks guys, what a bunch of scumbags. Then in his one on one speech he said he was pissed, they're all scumbags, I have a lot more to say when I get my chance on the jury.
That was his whole problem, he doesn't know when to shut up, he basically talked himself off, Lydia started it, Dani sat there, and Judd just hung himself. All Dani did is relay what he said to Steph and that was the end.

That's because Steph is the Queen B, has been since the very beginning. Personally I can't stand the way she goes about her business.....but it's basically a game of lying, cheating and stealing, with a million dollars attached. Props.
Judd is a classic bully. A fairly decent guy one-on-one, but when he feels like he has his posse (ie, alliance) around and some other "weaker" players, he puffs up his chest and beats it. The entire episode he was being very nice to Lydia and Danni and not blustering at all when the subject of who's going next comes up--even when he's just with his "alliance" he's fairly humble. But mix the two together at tribal and he's a jerkoff--which in this case made for great irony.
Judd: "Jeff, no matter what these poeple say they all want someone to go, man. It's gets us all freakin closer to the end, man. When you get voted off, no hard feelings, man, but you freakin gotta go."
Jeff: "I'll read the votes...and, the umpteenth person voted out of Survivor is: Judd"
Judd: "Freakin scumbags. ...Scumbags."
Yeah, no hard feelings, Judd.
This was a well-orchestrated vote-off. Rafe's line summed it up perfectly: "You can't trust Judd. But, you can trust that you can't trust Judd." Classic.
That said, they should have kept their alliance for as long as they had people to pick off. Now, I don't think there's a snowballs chance in hell for anyone from that alliance to win. There's WAY too much anger from the alliance members that are gone. I think Danni wins it all now. Before I thought it would be Cindy or Steph. Rafe will get to the final 2, but will get lambasted for turning against his former comrades.
Good episode.

Rafe and Steph are the best game players left but Stephs problem is she's tough as nails but she NEVER wins immunity. At some point people are going to stop letting her run the show unless they want to take her to the final 2 figuring nobody will vote for her.
Danni is definitely a strong contender, everyone seems to like her and she can certainly sneak up and win a big challenge.
Cindy seems to be way under the radar.
It's going to be the classic Survivor vote, do you vote for the person carried along because they were seen as weak, or the person who was stronger but screwed everyone over?

I don't think it's going to come down to that. Lydia is the only one who has truly been "carried," and I don't think she'll make it to the finals. There is a case to be made that Cindy has been carried, but I don't think it'll be seen that way. If Cindy makes it to the finals and the jury knows she didn't know what the heck was going on wheh Judd and Jamie were outed, then she wins hands down. Danni may get everyones vote if she's in the final two because she's had to scrap to stay alive and she's always been on the "other team" so people won't hold any votes against her.
It'll be interesting.
As an aside, it really bugs me when people get bent out of shape because they've been "lied" to. You're in a game of deception, you should acknowledge that you were bested in it. For Judd to continiously say "I never lied," when not only he did, he was caught and called on it, is frustrating to me.

Yep, yet it happens every season of Survivor, people complain they were lied to , that's part of the game.
Judd was precisely what you said he was. Gary set the stage for Judd going by outing him on his lie about the idol.
What a great episode this week. Steph won the immunity finally( Boo...she has conived the entire time) and Cindy took the car when she could have gave everyone a car...bad choice she got booted. What was so interesting is that the highlights of next week that I Tivoed and could not believe were that at the tribal council for next week they showed who won the immunity necklace for next week with the 4 of them sitting there. I could not believe it. Did anyone else catch this?

Well lets see if it was a true slip up. Who won?

If Rafe is smart, he'll take Stephanie with him--she's screwed just as many people as he has. If he takes anyone else, he'll lose. He may still lose to Steph, but at least people have to make a choice between the lesser of two evils.

Steph apparently got 1 vote, from Rafe. I will say she did a very POOR job of working the jury at the end. Judd was visibly pissed at her and she waits until near the end to point out that it was Dani, NOT Steph, that coordinated Judd's being voted out. Dani tried to deny it but Steph cut her off and said "Lydia even admitted it" to confirm that Dani had heard Judd and Lydia talking and went to the others.
I think the one chance Steph had to win was to convinced Judd that while yes she voted him off, Dani caused that vote. At worst, she gets one more vote. But it was pretty clear to me Steph had made too many enemies.
Other thoughts, Rafe's vote your heart forget about our deal thing to me was phony. I know he was mr principles(despite backstabbing the same people Steph did) but I really think he thought if I say this, she'll feel compelled to keep me, and everyone on the jury will know I said it so I'll beat her in the final vote. I really wonder if that's the only reason Dani picked Steph, because Rafe released her from the deal?
1. I'm glad Dani won. It's pretty amazing she outlasted the others when she came into the merge without the numbers.
2. It's interesting that, as she pointed out in the reunion show, Steph played the EXACT same game as Rafe, yet she was painted as the "anything for a win" type and Rafe is the "moral compass."
3. Judd is an idiot.

I forgot, the other annoying thing on the jury was Lydia asking both people why she was voted out if she was loyal to them. Hello, wake up and smell the coffee people carried you along knowing they could beat you in challenges, but nobody wanted to take you to the final 2 because they were afraid you'd get the votes because you didn't do anything so nobody was mad at you. Even then the look on her face was like she STILL doesn't get the entire concept of Survivor is to win the game.
We needed Herm Edwards to come in "we play to WIN the game."
