Smallville

Anyone watch this show besides me and BIM?

I am just loving it more and more. Ever since the Christohpher Reeves episode, this show has really taken off. The season finale should be a whopper from what I've read.

I would really like to watch the pilot episode sometime...

Smallville fans?

Just wondering if we have any Smallville fans on here?

One of the best shows on TV that I don't think a lot of people watch.

Last night's season finale was kick butt!

Guilty Pleasure?

I was surprised. Usually, Smallville is kind of like any other WB "Teen Opera" with the Superman thing being it's gimic.

But the last 15 minutes of the show last night was very well done.

A LOT of the shows this season have been just as good...did you see the one with Christopher Reeves? Wow, that one was just amazing.

As with any show, there is a little bit of "soap opera", but it's not that bad. And the longer the show is on, the more Clark is growing up and realizing his destiny. He's becoming less like a high school guy and more like Superman, and I think that changes the "teen opera" part of the show.

I love that show. I catch it every week, although I'm about an episode behind right now (I TiVo it). I'm glad to hear the fanale is good, I was worried that they'd botch it.

Jeff Loeb is a very well-respected comic book writer that they've hired on as a story consultant (I believe his official title is "executive producer") and he keeps them in line, I think.

The most facinating part of the show is seeing the little things piling up that will eventually pit Lex against Clark. I understand through rumors that the finale goes a long way towards that end.

Yup, and you're right, that's one of the best things about it...and also how he gets his powers...

I’m a Smallville devotee. Very good cliffhanger for the season. Who lives, who dies?

Frankly, a big part of me wishes Clark would go against canon and team with Lex. Michael Rosenbaum has done a phenomenal job on Lex. I LOVE his character. I also love that Chloe is (?) Lois Lane. Very excellent.

And Super Girl was hot!

Also watched the series finale of Angel. Good show. Going to miss it.

Here’s my question. Does anyone watch Tru Calling??

Indeed, the program has been maturing quite nicely this season. It's usually the third season when a good program really hits it's full stride.

I think most people do not think Chloe is Lois at all...someone said she has a cousin named Lois already.

Some people think that Chloe's death could lead to Lois investigating it.

We had a huge Angel series finale party last night. It was a good episode, but there was no closure of any sort. I wanted to see what happens. Joss doesn't seem to be interested in doing a movie to conclude the whole thing so I am not happy.

Spike was awesome though- "Can I betrey you three times?"

As far as True Calling goes, yes, I watch it, though not regularly. I am a huge fan of Eliza Dushku, but I am so used to "mythology" shows (Files, Buffy, Angel) that it seems kind of 2nd rate show. I hope they find a way to bring another dimension to the show, though I will continue watching it anyway.

Smallville

Has anyone been watching the new season? The last two seasons were really good--I mean rivited to the tv good--but this season sucks eggs so far.

The actress that plays Lois Lane blows. It was a total cop out the way they didn't kill Cloe. The dynamic is a F'd up now between the main characters. And, worst of all, the storylines have been sub-par, compunding and highlighting all of the previously mentioned problems.

Normally, I wouldn't be this disappointed, but last season's finale left you counting the days for this season, and it stinks.

I love the show as well, couldn't wait for this season to start...and you're right, it sucks so far.

Krypt/Tuck was lame, next week looks dumb.

Only thing I disagree on is that I like the actress who plays Lois Lane.

Other than that, seems weird, the whole Lana Lang tattoo thing is weird, I just think this season seems out of place from the last two years.
