Absolutely agree. Smallville is easily in my top 5 of alltime shows. Probably top 3.
Can someone do me a huge favor and tell me which page of this thread begins the discussion on the second half of S5, roughly around where Pa Kent dies? I don't want to inadvertantly give myself any spoilers for next season by rooting around looking for it.

Page 8 was the closest that I could see.
I haven't read this thread all that closely, because of the possible spoilers.
I started reading on page 8 (as you so thoughtfully suggested), and stopped reading on page 14, because that's where discussion of the premier for season 6 begins.
