yeah, my guess is that he gave it to what's-her-face. They showed in scenes from next week that the kid was gone, right? It would be suicide for the show if they had the main character kill his brother's kid. Give it away to someone as messed up a he is? Yeah, that seems like it's in line with everything else, but dumping it in the river? no way in hell.

Yeah, even for this show that would be a bit much.
Even showing him holding the kid over the railing was hard to watch.
i don't know why, but this show is slowly loosening it's grip on me. It's still really good writing and it's still pretty damn edgy and the scene with Tommy losing it was intense, and the season's been decent overall, but there's just something that is letting my attention drift elsewhere while watching it which hasn't been the case with previous years.

For a few weeks there recently I agree with you. The kinder, gentler, more compassionate Tommy didn't really work for me.
I think we're going to see the disturbed Tommy we all know and love from here on out.
