One of the best episodes of Lost, ever.

When Charlotte was dying she remembered meeting Daniel as a kid, so it's definitely possible that that Ben can remember too.

I think they did address it in the flashback that had Ben visiting Sayid in South America. Ben was asking him to do one more hit and told Sayid he was a killer and Sayid asked what made him think he would do it for Ben again.
Ben's response was something to the effect of, "Because you are a killer--it's who you are..."

So, how old is the temple...
Why is Richard the only one not aging?
Are some of the castaways from 316 employed by Widmore?

Richard Alpert = servant of God? Is the Island God?
The real Richard Alpert's Hindu name, Ram Dass, means servant of God.

Richard will turn out to be the real extremely good or evilperson. The front man was just a way to protect himself.

"What lies in the shadow of the statue" must be a code word of sorts. They were standing over a large box that appears to be able to hold a casket.
The smoke monsters "home" has yet another reference to Anubis which is likely what the statue feet are of as well.
Richard is most definitely Egyptian.

Yes, I had to consult my Stargate guide to figure that reference out. If this island turns out to be Atlantis, I'm going to call plagiarism. LOL
Anubus, Ancient God of Egypt:
Anubis was keeper of the afterlife, the one who guided spirits after they left the body. He was also considered the patron of lost souls and orphans.
Now here's the image on the wall Ben saw before greeting Smokey:

Hanuman had some ... unique ideas on how to reform prisoners.

Awesome episode. Loved that Locke called out Ben about having to ask a lot of questions. LOVED that Desmond kicked Ben's ass and that Ben seemed to have somewhat of a conscious.
Am gonna rewatch this episode over the weekend.

If you guys think that case was big enough to hold a casket, my vote is for Charles Widmore being inside it
