It's difficult to tell, though. Jack and Locke are locked into this mortal combat and Sawyer is such a free agent. It's difficult for me to imagine, given the Enlightenment themes, that Sawyer would become an authority figure -- over Kate or anyone.

It could be her child. Didn't Kate say something about maybe being pregnant last year? In any event, a kid could be another twist

brilliant. I really think you've got something there. That absolutely makes sense. It would explain the car as well. Wasn't she driving a Volvo station wagon or something like that?

Here are my thoughts. One of two things has to happen. Either they will mix flash backs and flash forwards. I say this becuase is they are all flash forwards, we will know who the Ocieanic 6 are pretty quick and that will become stale or they will do only flash forwards and mix in flash forwards from who are still on the island.
Also, I believe JJ said they will talk about how Libby ended up in the mental hospital, so that still needs to happen.
Titbit from last seasons finale: Everyone was talking about Jack's dad possibly still being alive because of the way he was talking and because he used is fathers perscription pad. Now that we are pretty certain he is on the island in some form, I think there could be something to that.

Abrams has also said dead people are really dead people in Lost.

A ghost maybe? Haunting him for leaving the island.

I've said for a couple of seasons now that I think Jack's father plays a larger role then we're led to believe thus far.

Just a reminder for the discussion on the split of the survivors and who the O6 are, we've been shown that Claire and Jack are have siblings and Aaron is Jack's nephew.

Another episode that opens more questions without answering any that were opened previously. I'm starting to think that the writers are getting in over their heads. They are simply leaving way too much to the imagination. Introducing new characters when the books are still open on others. They have turned the survivors against each other, not really knowing who can be trusted. Apparently Locke cannot be trusted. Hugo takes his side on the island and then apologizes to Jack for going with him, and ends up being one of the six. I wish just once they would sew up a story, but then again, it's getting to the point where I don't think they know how.
I'm sure the next six episodes won't answer much, if anything. But then again, that is why we are all hooked.

This episode officially pushed me over the edge.
From now on I'm taking all my orders from the island.

Showing the pilot footage from under the water kind of killed some of this show for me.

My 2 cents. First off, on http://lost.cubit.net/ they show the pictures of the ghost boy and Eko and they look alike, leading some to think they could be the same. Not sure how that is possible, but it was disclosed that he was a murderer and drugs were found. Does that mean that the black smoke is the "Asian Ghost Buster" and when he said "you can leave now" Eko died on the island. I am not sure what I think of that.
Second, the Birtish lady asked Claire is she had her baby on the island and when Claire said yes, they were very surprised, like she new about the issues of the pregnant women on the island. With that being said, wouldn't they know who Juliet is and know she is not one of the originals, but brought there by Ben?
Also, the Polar Bear in the desert with the Dharma collar was interesting. Why does Dharma like Polar Bears so much?
As far as the plane crashing staging, I think it is interesting to see if they ever go into the plane under water to see if there are any other bodies.
