Great episode tonight. What do you think the lottery numbers could mean? Maybe they're the coordinates to the island. Or maybe they're the numbers on the buried thing. Perhaps a ship of some kind (plane, sub, boat, etc).

Anybody else catch it when Hurley's financial advisor told him he was the majority owner of a box company in Tustin? I only bring it up because Locke told Boone(?) in an earlier episode that he worked at a box company in Tustin. Between this and Sawyer's chance meeting with Jack's Dad maybe every character is somehow involved with each other in an obscure way.

Wow dude, nice tidbit!!!

Yes, they've already said before that characters might all be related somehow...

What a great episode tonight...kept you on your toes, and good to see some stuff about Hurley.

This show is just too dang awesome...and guess what I read tonight? No new episodes until April 13th, then we see the final 6 shows....

Gonna be awesome...

Mike

Got this from another board. It's about what the numbers could mean.

4x4=16, 8+8=16, 23-8=15, 42-23-4=15, the maths is driving me crazy!

4 - Sawyer made the b-day wish, Sam the ex navy guy died, Locke was crippled, number of guns in the case, four people at a time digging Jack and Charlie out of the cave, Boone had four inhalers for Shannon, Claire's psychic stalked her for four months, Walt rolls four-three in backgammon, Michaelangelo stared at the block of marble that became David for four months, Locke tied Boone up four miles away from camp, Michael's nurse was a mother of four, 4 people can fit on the raft,

8 - Helen and John talked for eight months, Michael worked eight years in construction, DriveSHAFT was going to tour for eight weeks opening for Meat Coat, Charlie didn't play his guitar for eight days, Claire's 8 months preggers (duh! - I miss the obvious), Shannon was eight when her dad married Boone's mom, Michael sent Walt cards/letters for eight years, 8 people died in a fire at one of Hurley's businesses

15 - Sun was supposed to leave at 11:15, number of main castaways (including Claire's baby as a separate entity), Boone spent fifteen hours flying to rescue Shannon

8/15 - flight number, deposit box number

16 - 16 years ago Sam and Lenny heard transmission, 16 years ago Dannielle and crew heard transmission/crashed/died/changed signal, 16 weeks since lottery was won, 16 hours to find the pilot/cockpit, Jack's first spinal procedure was on a 16 year old girl, when Locke was showing Walt the backgammon game the dice added up to 16, in Sun's flashback, Jack was at the counter and said he had to be back to LA in 16 hours.

23 - The reward for Kate was $23,000, Hurley lost $23,000 to Walt at their first backgammon game

42 - heh - the meaning to life, the universe, everything... (42-day long hiatus! )

Great catch on the box company in Tustin!

Say it again - the way the writers are weaving the characters together is awesome!

Showing the links back to the island (from the crazy guy, to the Australian wife, to Danielle) as to where Hurley got the winning numbers was brilliant!

I love this freakin' show!

It was great to see more of Hurley. I don't understand why they didn't try to talk more to the French woman, other than she's nuts and was shooting at them.

Yeah Lucy caught that and you're right Locke did say that's where he worked before he was on the island.

I guess somehow the guy in the asylum is linked to the island and that's how he knew the numbers?

Nope. His friends wife in Australia said her husband and him(asylum guy) picked up the radio transmition on occassion. That's how they got the numbers.

That's correct. They were in the Navy together or something similar when they intercepted the transmission.

Sorry yeah I saw that part I just meant that somehow they were linked to the island because they were able to pick up the transmission.

Meaning if they got the numbers 16 years ago how come nobody in the next 16 got the french woman's distress signal, because they weren't "supposed" to? That and I assume the numbers had something to do with the guy being nuts since he suddenly became quite normal when Hurley told him he'd won the lottery with the numbers.

favorite part:

Charley: I was doing heroin in the bath room right before we crashed.

Hugo/Hurley: Back in the States, I am worth over $132 million.

Charley: I spilled my guts to you and told you my deepest darkest secret and you joke around like this.

I missed that part. Wife wanted to watch American Idol.

Why the hell does ABC run "Lost" 3 minutes past the hour. It really screws up my TIVO. I have to record Wheel of Fortune for an extra hour so I can TIVO Lost and American Idol. TIVO won't let you start 3 minutes later and it won't let you stop 3 minutes before the show is supposed to end. So when I try to record both shows it says there is a conflict and won't let you.

I think ABC is just trying to screw with us TIVO owners!
