Favorite part is when Matt tells Julie she didn't have to worry about him during the fight because "I just stand in the back and yell stuff"
That was my favorite line too...second favorite is when Coach Taylor gets his advice from 1) The counselor 2) His wife 3) his friend all in one person, then walking out says "the three of you scare the hell out of me."
It sounds funny, but I am glad Matt & Julie didn't go through with it. I was just picturing the HELL coach Taylor was going to bring down on poor Matt.
So...question is will Street leave Lyla for the tattoo girl?
My thoughts are that the actor that plays Matt Saracen is either a) just like Matt in real life or b) one hell of an actor. I have not seen such a believable character on a TV show. The way that he is always stumbling over his words, fidgeting and trying to do the right thing. He just plays the role so perfectly that it's hard to believe that he's acting.
Also, this show does a very good job of eliciting emotion from the audience without being obvious about it. The scene with Tami and Julie Taylor discussing having sex was fantastically acted. And Coach Taylor does a great job of expressing his emotion without even having to say anything. You could tell exactly what was going through his head when they were sitting at the table waiting for Julie to come home and he hardly said a word.
Overall, this is one of the most impressive shows on TV. I love Heroes and Lost but this show's graininess and basis in reality is just awesome.

Is Friday night lights done for the season or are they taking off a bit for idol?
"The show returns next Wednesday (3/14), and the first season ends April 11. NBC has posted every episode of "Friday Night Lights" at www.nbc.com for people who need to catch up."
Kevin Reilly, head of programming for NBC recently said;
"OK, to put it baldly, can you characterize “FNL’s” chances for renewal? [Pause] “Well, it depends if you want me to put my emotional hat on, my lover of TV hat on -- it’s 100 percent. If you want me to put my business hat on, it’s 55 percent. Let all those factors weigh in, and [its chances] are somewhere in between.”
