I finished this the other night. Wow, just wow. Sopranos is still my favorite show of all-time, but I've never gotten so emotionally involved in a tv show before. I know that it's partly due to me growing up in small towns, so I can totally relate to most of the characters. The guy that plays Matt is awesome, he plays that character sooo well. It reminds me of how "smooth" I was with girls in high school.
Coach T is another character that is acted extremely well. So much of his acting is done without even speaking. I think his best episode might have been when he had the team build the field for their home game.
The writing of this show is just about perfect. I kept waiting for a dull episode, but it never happened. They just kept getting better and better.
I'm really really really looking forward to this starting back up.

i to grew up in a small town and although not as football crazed, much of the way life is lived hits very close to my experiences
i love this program, the way it's acted, the characters, the way it's shot & directed - some of the extra footage on the networks webpage is pretty solid as well

Wow, bada you hit on it for me. I grew up in a small town too, and played basketball and football (2 years of football). Our town was all about basketball though, and my class was the one that was going to make us proud (we lost at state my sr. year, crushing the town). I never actually made the connection to why I love this show so much, but I totally identify with the small-town celebrity status things...little kids coming up to you to talk because they were at the game, etc. It's kind of nostaligic, in a way.

For those of you that have not yet seen this show, missed some of the episodes, are cheap like me, and hate watching shows online, Bravo is running a marathon this Friday starting at 8am ET

It's on Bravo which has the new HD channel on DTV, but none of the episodes say HD next to them. I hope they are in it anyways.
Thanks for the tip!
