Awesome..awesome show. My favorite show on cable by far. It just gets better and better, Dexter know how to manipulate and get things to work out how he needs them too.
Has anyone read the Dexter books that this show is based on? I plan on picking them up soon..I think there are 3 novels.

this show is phenomenal. I really liked the first season, but knew what the twist was the second a certain character was introduced. Even with that being said, I still thought the show was one of the better things on TV. The second season though? It blows away the first season IMO. I have no idea where this thing's headed.

I've read Darkly Dreaming Dexter which is what the 1st season is based on.
Quick read. Haven't read any of the others though.

I couldn't agree more!
I just watched last weeks episode and I can't wait for the next one.
I have no idea where this show is going to go.
Great, inspired, television!

Each episode gets better and better.
The guy playing Doakes did an awesome job with the last episode. Going from his nearly insane character to terrified of Dexter (even though he had the gun) was an awesome switch.

I want to watch the last three episodes of the season now, not over the next three weeks.
Somebody make it happen.

seriously - I was actually SHOCKED when the preview for next week said there were three more weeks left. I thought at MOST two and actually thought last night's was the penultimate episode. How much crazier is this **** gonna get? I mean, it's INSANE as it is right now.

This has to be the most entertaining show on TV, its only flaw, and its a very small one, is that Dexter's sister Deborah isn't much in the acting department.
I can't wait to see how they resolve the Dokes(Doaks?) stuff. IMO there is no way out that doesn't involve the death of him or Dexter.

okay, I'm gonna call my shot - I don't know exactly how this is gonna happen, but Deb is gonna realize Dexter's the Butcher and she's gonna save his ass someway or another. That convo with LaGuerta about doing something for someone you care about, even though it might hurt your career was a plant for everything that follows.

Wasn't Deb awake during the finale last season when Dexter and his brother were talking about killling people? When his brother was trying to talk him into killing Deb?
I could swear her eyes were open during that.
Lyla is dead. Doakes has to die, unless they follow through with the planting of the killing kit in the bay. A Doakes trial for season 3?

man would this suck:

PG versions of Dexter, Weeds and the Tudors? I'd have to wait until the DVDs came out months later to get the real versions of them.
