Battlestar Galactica

Anyone here anxious for Battlestar Galactica series to start on SciFi?

At first wasn't to thrilled with all the changes they made but it was still pretty good. I still feel they changed to much of the story but I'm willing to adapt to the new storyline.

Ugh...no way! I can handle tweeks...but to replace starbuck with a woman is just...just...not right!

If they were going to replace anyone with a woman it should have been Appolo. He was way too "sensitive."

Did anyone watch this series? I loved the original as a kid so I had to watch this one. It's way different from the original and kind of goofy but I eventually got hooked.

Yes I'm a geek so don't waste your breath. 8)

I have seen parts of it.

Is it an ongoing series or just a mini-series?

I watched every single episode, so I guess that makes me an even bigger geek

I got over Starbuck being a woman, and I think the actress plays the role well.

It's an ongoing series, Chaz. Season one just wrapped up a couple of weeks ago. Season two kicks off in July. You can see reruns of season one's episodes every Friday night at 10 I believe. Also, SciFi will be showing the miniseries that kicked this new series off sometime this month.

It's easily my favorite non-network show.

Thanks, I saw when it was on before and have seen a few of the reruns lately.
It looks good, I was hoping to see the whole thing from the beginning.

I loved the original when I was a kid.

The part I found hard to stomach was the Cylon Raider ships. Basically a Cylon head with wings. Looks kind of stupid, but once I got past that I really enjoyed the series so far.

I love this series. It's awesome.

Great cinematography, hotties, good storyline (I too loved watching the reruns of the old one as a young kid in the early 80's)

They even have the old apollo on as sort of like a 60's vietnam protestor type person.. (no not with long hippie hair or anything, but like a radical spokesperson who bombed a governement building, and was in jail...)

I'm glad they gave him a recurring part because for the past 10-15 years or whatever he was trying to spearhead a project to get a new battlestar galactica series. He was developing the series, and computer graphics clips of how he wanted to see it become...basically how he would do it.) Instead, sci-fi kind of burned him and went with someone else. So I'm glad once again they gave him a part.

I've been a stargate fan for a long time now, and it is easily a 1 (stargate), 1A (battlestar galactica) rating from me.

If you watch the miniseries, you'll see how it started, and will be hooked. If you like any sci-fi, then you'll like this.

The Sci-Fi Channel showed last season's episodes yesterday to prep the launch of the new season.

I never thought I'd like it, being a fan of the old show and all, but I got hooked.

On Monday, there's an hourlong show to promote the new seasons of Battlestar Galactica, Stargate: SG-1, and Stargate: Atlantis.

It looks like all 3 might be on Fridays on Sci-Fi...

About a month ago, I watched the miniseries and season one over the span of three days. For the most part I really liked it, although I am not that fond of the way they constructed the Dr. Baltar character. I would watch season 2, but I don't have cable.
