I agree. Actually I think only having a limited number of episodes has the opposite effect of having fillers. I think we are going to see shortened explanations of some of the lose ends. They won't have enough time to fully flesh some of the lingering story lines. Especially, if they are building towards a big finish. It should be exciting.

Secondly, there ARE 12 cylons, someone has to be them...so whatever. I think it's still good, and I thought this season was good aside from a few episodes.
And I liked the finale, and I like that there are four cylons who didn't know they were cylons. Or maybe they are still beings of light, who knows. We'll find out.

Well, it's patently impossible for Tigh to be a Cylon. He was born well before they had the technology. And if they try to bull$h!t us and say they had the technology before he was around, it'll be the worst copout ever. I mean, honestly, they take the main characters and tell us they're now Cylons? That's a steaming pile, unless it turns out to be false, which I still think it will. If they stick to it, I abandon the show, period.

Yeah, I guess I'd like to know how they have been around for that long, if it's true.

I'm sure it'll be some crap like they had the technology before but just didn't use it. I don't care. If Tigh and company really are cylons, the show is dead to me.

I thought we only know that Tigh and Adama know each other from the Academy??? Can't his earlier thoughts and memories me impressions made through programming?

Um, then you would have had to program the thoughts and memories of a vast number of other individuals throughout history, or else he would never have made it through life. If you're saying he was created just before he met Adama, then I call crap. That's a heck of a lot of coincidence, and the Cylons had no way of knowing who Adama was or that he would even make it into the military.
Simply put: if all of these new people are cylons, the show just died. Over-the-top, schlocky, soap opera crap. What next? Adama's long lost, left-for-dead brother was secretly Cain's sister who had a sex change operation to join the academy?

Well I think it's obvious the Cylons have the tech to mimic real people. They could have at any point mimicked Tigh. In this version of BSG, they had no idea how long the Cylons have had the ability to mimic human form. So it could of dated back much further then they thought. Since they really have never covered that topic, I would assume that they have the ability to download ones thoughts etc... and implant them in a replacement. That's all plausible IMO.
Not to mention that if Tigh was a plant he wouldn't be a plant because of AA. He would be there despite him. He would have been there to work his way through the ranks regardless of who he ended up befriending.
Having said that, I am convinced that even if they do turn out to be Cylons they are not going to be the Cylons that we know. I still think some how they are tied to the Light People. Possibly hybrids of some sort. I am not convinced that they were actually planted their by our friendly neighborhood Cylons.

Yeah, but that's weak explaining away, IMO. Just cheap backtracking to cover for a stupid plot twist. They had better be the Light People, or at least not Cylons. I mean, it's like Han, Leia, and Obi Wan suddenly becoming bad guys, or Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas deciding to grab the Ring for Sauron. Would have been idiotic for them, just like it would be for Battlestar.

One correction from above. I meant to say I am convinced that they were NOT planted by our resident Cylons. I don't think that the "regular" Cylons even know about them.

I wrote a blog this morning about the upcoming Razor movie and the SciFi flashbacks they are doing.
If you are a fan of the show, you'll want to catch these flashbacks.
