At least we saw on this leg that the conspiracy theories can stop...that plane held up for Uchenna and Joyce...Ron and Kelly tell the guy to not call a cab...if Rob had done that, you'd all be calling it a dirty play
Anyways, I wanted Uchenna and Joyce, or Romber to win, so I'm happy anyways...good final episode, very tense...
What a great show!

Notice how ROMBER got lost without the local guides? Couldn't find their way around a sugar mill or Little Havana....... Seems like without their Fame, they'd been out 6 - 7 legs before..........
And what was with U/J not being able to beg for money BEFORE the leg started. I remember the other contestants being able to do all that before a leg started..
I like the way they did the finale better, but seemed inconsistant.

Not this season they weren't able to...last season, yes.

*YAWN*
Everyone gets help...Rob's problem was that he was in a hurry and ran off too quick before looking around....
Yet you were all mad about that, now that it didn't help Romber, everyone is okay with it...
Amazing how our morals change when it's against someone we don't like

Nah - just payback. It is very clear that CBS edited the race to make fans love/hate ROMBER - and showed things like the Botswana plane incident to heighten the irony of what happened in San Juan.
Both seemed a little staged. If Romber hadn't made the plane in Botwana , they could have been eliminated.

Yeah Lucy and I had the same thought. It seemed to me that when the old folks got their reprieve they started the next day with borrowed clothes and money but I'm not sure if that was before or after the leg had officially started.
That flat tire nearly cost them a million, great though that was my favorite team.

Well you could make the same argument for them letting Romber on the same plane. They were told repeatedly it was closed, we'd just seen them at another airport in an identical situation be told that security rules prevented them from boarding a flight that had already closed, so unless those rules are different by airport, them being allowed to board for Miami was just as iffy as them reopening the flight for U/J.
Now obviously it would appear they saw the cameras and stuff and decided to let U/J on, I seriously doubt TAR has enough pull in post 9/11 air travel to get them to pull that just to create drama, so it was clearly a case of the airline employees deciding to do that for whatever reason.
If Rob and Amber had gotten there in plenty of time, bought tickets, got on the plane and then had them stop it and let U/J onboard it would have been a lot worse, but it certainly DID look fishy the way they showed it.

You mean like what happened in reverse in Botswana??
