Love the first 45 minutes of the show, and the leadup to Logan offing himself was brilliant.
But they must have opened the 24 Cliche Handbook and found, "Hey! That unlikable weasel in CTU can actually turn into a mole! What an original idea!"
Hate that they did that.
On another note, glad Aaron is coming back next ep.
I agree; the instant he picked up the gun I was waiting for the saved by the telephone moment from Miles. They telegraphed that one so hard that I was hoping against all hope it was a misdirect and that it wouldn't happen, and Logan would leave his legacy in a Jackson Pollack blood spatter on the wall. Damn you 24.

I thought Miles was going to work against Jack but only because he thought he was doing the right thing.
I like how he is portrayed as a go by the book kind of guy and yet at what appears to be no reason he turns on the country. I'm sure the boss holding out the info on the President can't be the only reason.
It's pretty clear the dude is a power-hungry P.O.S. He saw an opportunity to get a monster promotion (probably end up heading CTU or Homeland) in order to help the president. He doesn't think about the right thing, or loyalty or grudges. He thinks about his own self and that's it. He isn't by the book...he's by the Miles. He's your standard office politics player...he's only by the book if he can eliminate someone who can do the job better and poses a threat. Heck, we've already seen him go over Karen's head once and call Mike Novack...I had zero doubt he was going to go to Logan and was just hoping it was a nice misdirection and not cliched. I was wrong.

I figured that for being suspicious of Karen Hayes' actions when dealing with Chloe and the former CTU head.
You knew someone from CTU/Homeland was going to throw the show for another loop as it was bundled up too nicely with a few episodes remaining.
I had my fingers crossed Logan was gonna take out his wife or just as he would Aaron would come storming back all battered and bruised from whatever happened to him and would save the day.
Speaking of which, I hate previews that show what will happen as far as surprises. Showing Aaron is still alive and will make a return kind of ruins the whole suspense of wondering where he is.
Just like prior to yesterday's show I was reading a description of the episode and it said Audrey was going to get a pleasant surprise. Right away you knew it was her dad miraculously survived the crash.
Of course now, he's going to have a speedy recovery and will make another splash by helping take the President down.
