Why all thr Attacks on Obama from the GOP

I know that sounds stupid but what I mean is everything is attacking him.

I see very little about his policies.

It's obvious you didn't watch the DNC convention.

It kinda hard to attack "Hope and Change".

That's a pretty tired knock on Obama. Links to very specific proposals have been posted on this board alone many times in response to this.

Because it works, whether or not anyone wants to admit or not. The GOP is trying to slowly chipping away at his popularity at the polls amongst the undecided voters

Everything done in terms in strategy from now it is trying to get to that group by both sides (ie both VP choices). They won't try to change the minds of people who have already picked a side - its a waste of time and money.

Attacking ads have proven to be an effective strategy to get to this group of voters so they're going to continue to use it. They could care less if you like it or not just as long as it works

That's how you get elected and the Republicans are very good at it.

Soundbites, as well as what Evil Ash posted above.

You're more likely to listed to and retain a point of information if it is 10 seconds long compared to 10 minutes long.

This, of course, leads to stupid (at least, in the opinion of people who understand and follow the details) attacks.
