Its funny how cooperation with a bi-partisan investigation has gone away now.
Now it seems they will try anything to change the rules of the game, now it makes a difference. Its clear they will be attacking this every chance they get.
Whats next in the GOP assault on this process ?
Right... I'm sure if the situation were reversed, and a Republican investigator was leading the probe into a Demo Governor, and the Repub made a comment like, "this is going to be an October surprise", the Dems would have just sat quiet, right? LMAO...

82, this may shock you but I agree with you, partly.
Had the Democrats been stupid enough not properly vet a VP candidate then they would scramble to try and hide/deny/spin the stuff that came up.
That however doesn't change this in the slightest. I've seen nothing to suggest that this investigation is being handled improperly, heck even you new fav girl was content to cooperate a few weeks ago.
Now its a different story and I would like to know the truth. If the truth is a bad [for you] then the GOP is in real trouble. Do you really think we should potentially elect a ticket with questions like this unanswered ?

nidan - hang with me...this isn't too complicated...
I am not at all suggesting that the truth should be subverted. Neither is Palin herself - contrary to your never-ending smears...
A Demo investigator made some remarks that caused the team representing Palin to call into question the objectivity of the investigation...
Againm, had this been reversed, the Dems would have done the same thing - which is to be expected...
The truth will soon surface nidan... wipe your mouth and chin from the drool and take a breather...
I think they have Present there because it is used for places like Illinois, and that site lets you look up state level reps and their votes as well, so they lumped it in with the NV category.
I'm 99.99999999999999999 percent sure there is no present vote in the US Senate, and it is not mentioned in their procedures...only a yay or nay vote.
It is misleading to say that he voted present since they don't have it, but even if they did the NV wouldn't tell you anyway. The spin on Present is that you can't make a decision (it's incorrect spin, but that's how it is portrayed)...
now, to be accurate just say that McCain rarely shows up for votes in general. He missed a ton of votes. Second worst was the guy who had a brain tumor, then Obama and Hillary. Mac missed something like 70 plus percent of the votes, barack around 45 or so.
There isn't.

Well this is just getting worse. Palin publicly praises Monnegan's job performance prior to canning him--allegedly for not firing her ex brother in law:
Palin herself had nothing but praise for Monegan and his work on the issue at a conference earlier this year, just three months before she fired him, supposedly because he was not a team player on budget issues.
A tape obtained exclusively by ABC News shows Palin at a conference Apr. 28, where she acknowledges and even applauds Monegan.
"An indication of our commitment is the participation here of my, our, department of Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan's participation here and all of his hard work, and I want to publicly thank him," Palin said.
She went on to say that Monegan was not just talking about the issue, but was "finding the solutions and plugging them in."
"I want to publicly thank Walt for having his heart in the right place and his efforts too," Palin said in her opening remarks. The footage was shot for Blinding Justice, a documentary in-progress that sheds light on the sexual abuse epidemic in Alaska.
"Troopergate" has turned into the most serious cloud hanging over Palin as she campaigns as John McCain's vice presidential candidate. But Monegan's firing means much more than just politics for victims groups, who say the Governor, unlike Monegan, has failed to take decisive action to support programs that help women who are beaten and raped.

If a case can be made for this, it's the end.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Gov. Sarah Palin's administration is threatening legal action to block subpoenas by the Alaska Legislature as part of its investigation into whether she abused her authority trying to have her former brother-in-law fired as a state trooper.
In a seven-page letter to Alaska lawmakers, an assistant attorney general said the administration is prepared to go to court to quash subpoenas of Palin staffers if any were issued as expected on Friday. The investigation, known as "Troopergate," took on new significance after Palin was selected as Sen. John McCain's running mate.
This now seems like she is covering up, if she had nothing to hide she would want it to go fast as well. Being given a clean review by the investigation is the faster way to make this go away.
That she is fighting the investigation strongly suggests there is more to this.

You bet your sweet arse she's covering up. All her cooperativeness dried up when they announced they wanted to release the results of the investigation before October 31st.

"Supposed" or not, anyone that comes with this much baggage into a hiring situation, wouldn't be hired as a fry-cook, much less the 2nd highest office of our nation.
If you consider the POTUS and VPOTUS positions comparable to being the execs of a very large company, do you think the board of shareholders would approve of the hiring of any exec with this much drama surrounding him or her? It's not like she's overqualified in any other area to compensate for it.
This also applies in part to Obama, but to his credit, he has at least dealt with national and international policy and politicians in Washington, and he doesn't have a partner that's threatening to croak in the next few years. But that still isn't enough. That's why neither group is getting my vote.
