Don't even try to deflect, because what you highlighted in your post above is clearly designed to highlight that the trooper/husband is a "bad guy," implying that whatever Palin and her people did is somehow justified.
Again, as I've asked similarly of 40 [which he NEVER responded to], would you give the same leeway if this was reported about a trooper in Delaware that Biden attempted the same thing against?
Again, partisan muckery abounds.

If you did ask me I never saw it, but I will answer in this instance, I would have went even further than she did. Anyone who threatens my family will not get off lightly.

The entire case has yet to be fully exposed and all facts vetted... Until then, I'll hold to my opinions...
And as for your question about Biden - you better believe I would give him the "same leeway"... You infer that Palin "attempted" something?? Seems as though you really don't buy into the innocent until proven guilty spirit of American law... what a shame...

you act like everyone's jumping to "convict" this woman when it's just the same people (nidan, loyalty and seven) who always jump to convict ANY republican, much like there are republicans here who do the same exact thing. you're making mountains (everyone) out of molehills (fringe lefties) here.
there are questions being asked of her, just like there are any candidate running in anything. just cause a small group of reactionaries react as they always do doesn't mean there's some grand movement going on, no matter how much you or FOX wants to pretend there is. get out of last weekend (when there was a huge amount of bad press about her) and into the present. also realize that us, the guys who are so interwined in the net that they actually post about this stuff on the internet are in the VAST majority of people in this country. have a little perspective man.

uh, i wasn't one of those guys and those guys, AGAIN, are in the vast minority of the people in this country, as opposed to the EVERYONE you claim is creating a frenzy to convict her. good god man, you and Nidan are just the same, just on complete polar opposite sides of the spectrum.

No kidding - especially from the party that always claimed that the Clinton impeachment witchhunt was not about a *******, but about lies and coverups...

You're missing my point. Have you seen me accuse Palin of anything? See the bolded part above? That applies to the trooper too. Unless you've already convicted the trooper on the word of people that carry a vendetta against him? Seems as though you really don't buy into the "due process" afforded to its citizens by American law... what a shame...

Palin doesn't look good in this, in a vacuum. At best, her staff pushed DPS to fire Wooten without her knowledge, in which case she doesn't have control of her own office. At worst, she directed her staff to put pressure on Wooten and then lied about it.
I suspect they'll play this by throwing the aide caught on tape under the bus, and/or then put the word out that Wooten's a lush who threatens old men and tasers little kids. It seems that might play pretty well among those who are inclined to support Palin, and might play really well among some women who like the idea of their Vice President figuring out a way to get over on her ex-drunk-brother-in-law.
And this really should be a lesson to the Dems. They've thrown so much at Palin so fast and at least some of it has been proven false, and much of it obviously misleading, that even a charge like this with some apparent truth in it might get lost in the mantra that the Dems are out to destroy a conservative woman for how she thinks, so disregard all of it.
EDIT: and 82 and Palin supporters ought to look at the video, there actually might be something to this, and ignorance may be bliss but there's no point to testing that theory yourself.

Here is the audio of the phone call Bailey made on behalf of Palin:
