The Wally Challenge!! Barack in Broward County Tommorrow

OK Wally here is the deal. You have been one of the most outspoken Dem voting ASFNer's on this board for years now. But in the last year, you have been extremely negative at times on the presumptive Democratic Nominee, Senator Barack Obama and his supporters, including yours truly.

So here is the "Wally Challenge". Barack will be at the BankAtlantic Center in Broward County, Florida tommorrow at 3:30 PM, recommended arrival time 2:00 PM. http://www.bankatlanticcenter.com/ The event is free of charge and you should be able to RSVP for tickets later today at barackobama.com.

The "Wally Challenge" is to attend the event and share with the rest of us ASFNer's your impressions in this thread. That includes both good impressions and bad impressions, just your honest take on the candidate and the event.

If you come out of the event feeling even more negative about him as the Democratic nominee, then I am buying you dinner. If you come out of the event feeling better about Barack as the Democratic nominee, you are buying me dinner.

Let me know if this is a deal.

Doesn't Wally have better thing to do?

Like write Hugo Chavez a love letter?

Actually, my "significant other" is undergoing significant surgery Friday @ 1:30 PM. I find my presence at this event much more significant and worthy of my attention.

If Obama was holding court in my backyard, the only reason I would attend would be to instruct him to get off the grass.

Unlike you, I do not get off on this type of " dog and pony show ". His charisma and charm are not infectious for me. Closer contact will not change my mind. BTW, I had chances to view most of the candidates up close and personal and declined to participate with them also. So, don't take it personal.

Hey Wally, hope all goes well with the surgery, that is definitely a bigger priority.

I just listened to to part of his town hall in Boca Raton. Definitely not a dog and pony show. If you get a chance to watch this type of Q and A online or replayed, check it out as I think it shows there is a heck of a lot of substance along with the charisma.

Walt.... Our thoughts are with you and your wife. I know you've got enough good vibes coming from ASFN to help her to a successful surgery.

Thanks Chris. BTW, no one will marry me. We just live in sin. It works for us. Hell, if we were married we would be divorced. Two free spirits bouncing off each other. Works very well. She will be fine. It's her hospital. Pays to have connections. She is getting the best.

Wally, you know better than telling him she likes him. He's probably booking a flight now.
