The Official Vice Presidential Debate Thread!

I swear, everything about every aspect of this race makes me chuckle at where we are as a society.

I was just on Real Clear Politics and it struck me as so frighteningly funny/scary that amomgst their headlines are:

"Is Palin going to fall on her face?"

"Biden's Challenge: Keeping his mouth shut"

Those are our VP candidates folks! One's goal is to stand up right for 90 minutes and the other is not to shove his foot so far up his butt that he tastes leather.

In the glorious words of Matt Stone and Trey Parker:

AMERICA! **** YEAH!

Discuss.

I'm breaking out the wine early tonight. It'll be funny, infuriating, and gawdawfully depressing.

Palin looks terrified. Biden looks like a slime ball.

I honestly can't watch. I imagine it would feel like a seeing a woman I used to love being disemboweled.

Would somebody mind posting a general update, so I know if it's truly as bad as I think it'll be? And I'd appreciate an honest opinion. I need to know if I should bother checking youtube later.

She's holding up, but dancing around the questions.

Likeable, but Biden is destroying her on the points, IMO.

She really is the master of NOT answering the question...

G: Governor talk about Healthcare

P: I want to talk about energy

G: Governor talk about Taxes

P: I want to talk about energy

G: Governor talk about programs you will have to cut because of bailout

P: I want to talk about energy

G: Governor talk about John McCain's claims on Obama's tax plan

P: I want to talk about energy

This has pretty much been her pattern for almost every question.

To be fair, it looks like Biden is too. I just hadn't noticed it until now.
