The Official Democratic Convention Thread

I don't care who you are or what your political persuasion is;
Ted Kennedy's speech was very, very emotional.

Didn't see it.

Sorry for his health. No one deserves that. I am sure it defined the evening.

I felt the whole kid thing, and the overwhelming emotion she spoke of was a little contrived and rehearsed. Other than that..... Michelle oozes charisma.

Of course it was rehearsed and rehearsed, and rehearsed again, probably over rehearsed. That's the nature of the beast.
That being said I thought it was heart felt and probably connected to a lot of people.

Eh, I hated his speech. Completely cliched. Had a few good points near the end, but man was it cliched.

I'm very interested to hear Hill's speech.

I thought Bob Casey's speech was good, especially calling out that he and Barack have a very different opinon on abortion, but that doesn't mean he isn't the right candidate. That Obama looks at all sides of an issue and if he doesn't agree, he respects the other opinion.

One of Hillary's best speeches.

That was a great speech...Its funny thumbing through all the cable news channels and seeing Fuax News being the only channel that said the speech was empty, unmemorable, and not in any way an endorsement of Obama.

They also say Hillary has left with a wimper... What a joke of an "objective" organization they are...

I was watching CNN and a couple of the commentators said they thought that Hillary just did the minimum in pushing the Obama/Biden ticket. That it sounded more like a speech from a candidate than a speech from a supporter.

I thought it was a good speech and so did Charles Krauthammer on Fox. He really praised Hillary and said her public speaking has improved greatly. Too bad she isn't the candidate.
