Ron Paul SkyType ads at FBR Open

Anyone else see the Ron Paul ads in the sky at the FBR Open on Saturday. His name was printed out along with GEICO by 5 airplanes.

Pretty smart Idea. Got his name out to 170,000 people. I wonder how much that cost?

What is amazing, is that was 99% most likely from the grassroots, not the official campaign. So much money is moved around with the grassroots supporters...they had a Ron Paul blimp going for a long while.

Whats is more amazing is that about 3% to maybe if your lucky 7% of those will even bother to take a look at his ad or even give it any of their time. Just the curse of nobody believing you have a shot.

I saw them. They had "Ron Paul Revolution" with the backwards "love" highlighted. Kinda goofy and the few comments I heard about them were derogatory.

Yea I have heard lots of people make derogatory comments about those signs. They have been all over in NV for months.

the skytype was really cool and it did draw a ton of attention there on saturday

really kind of neat the way they spell out

the immediate conversation around me went pretty good as well - one person asked who he was, another said he was some independent presidential campaign and then another mentioned him running as a republican

the planes definitely get your attention though - everyone around me was focused on them to see what they were spelling

I sort of don't get it. I mean, I get it...a "revolution" with "love," but it's not really his message.

I don't get the "LOVE" thing either. I mean, is John Lennon running for office?

It isn't his official campaign. It was actually designed by some guy in Phoenix who used it when he ran for an office some time ago. Hippied out style.

Anytime anything uses the Rloveution, it is the grassroots and not the official. The official slogan is Hope for America.

This is actually an often discussed issue within the grassroots, whether the Relove helps or hurts. Also, whether acting like screaming monkeys helps or hurts. Or throwing snowballs at Hannity. Some of the supporters hurt more than help, but are passionate.

Oh, I was certain it wasn't official...I'm just in the "it is going to hurt more than help" camp.

Yeah, I knew it wasn't official. It still doesn't make sense.
