I just want to see Ron Paul have 3 presidential debates against Hillary.
I will move if she wins after those, because it means the idiots have overwhelmed the nation through sheer numbers.

Just watched Paul on Meet the Press... While he scored a scant few good lines, IMO he came off as a serious flake! He seemed incapable at times of directly responding to a question from Russert. In fact, on several occasions he seemed stumped. I actually felt squeamish watching the interview...
IMO, this man should never, ever be President. Some very solid concepts for sure, but in ym view he is incapable of being a leader of the most powerful country in the world... Yikes...

Yeah, I hope he doesn't make it either. He's a flake.
So, you watch one interview, and this is what you come up with? No wonder people around here think you are opinionated.

Doesn't sound like any interview I've ever seen him do. He's usually by far the smartest guy in the room and I've never seen him stumped. On the contrary, he's usually talked down to and sometimes might get defensive, but always has an answer at hand.
I'll have to view this my own self.

Hey, it's a message board and I give my opinion - which I guess makes me "opinionated"... LMAO!
I said he "came off as a flake" Harley. Whether he is or not I may never know... And this is not the first Paul performance I've seen. As I said, the man has some very solid ideas. That does NOT mean he should or even could effectively lead America... There's a difference between having a few good thoughts, and then turning those thoughts into productive action...
IMO, based upon ALL that I've seen from this guy, he should not, and will not be the next President of the USA...
Ironically, I think Obama was very pleased with Paul's poor performance today. I believe there are quite a few "independants" out there who will swing away from Paul and towards Obama... Pual's failure today could have been a boon for Barack... Interesting...
Ron Paul is often attacked by some Republicans because he's antiwar, the attacks IMO don't come from anything but that.
Otherwise he's like the poster child of any good Republican, lower taxes, less government, even pro life.
When you see staunch Republicans attack him or act like he's weird it makes me chuckle, cause yeah he is weird, he's what your party is supposed to look like and I'm sure you don't recognize it anymore, ironic and funny.

Ron Paul is taking in tons of cash, IMO he won't win the republican ticket and will continue on as an independant. He'll be the Nader of the 2008 presidential election therefore sealing victory for whomever is on the ticket for the Dems. He's got too big of a following not to effect the right leaning vote.

I thought Russert used every gotcha question at his disposal and didn't give Paul a lot of time to respond.
There is a difference between a campaign platform and a detailed transition plan. Probably even more so for a candidate that proposes such a wide scope of changes.
I am curious what you think he was so stumped on.
I thought Russert was reaching at some points. How is a constitutional amendment not constitutional?

I don't understand why Libertarians don't like him. I have a couple friends who are very staunch Libertarians and they don't like him, to put it nicely. Would anyone know why?

I don't like him because I'm a die hard Democrat.
Because he's anti the Iraq war. Today's republicans seem to think this the most important trait for their candidate right after their calling themselves a christian. The most outspoken supporters of the right on this board take a ru9/11dy as a serious candidate over someone who has proven a traditional conservative record. To date I've not heard a valid reason why, only claims that he couldn't lead. This from the same folks who actually believe dubya can...

But why don't Libertarians like him? Didn't he run as one back in '88?
