It makes no difference how much money this guy raises. He has no shot at being President. Ht has about a 1 in 1000 shot of even getting the Rep. nomnation.

hey, we're fans.
I like rooting for the underdog.
(I will also say that I wish other candidates put up a real-time money counter too - its a cool feature)

The biggest thing is turnout and I think he will surprise a lot of people in the primaries.
I agree that he is a long shot to get the nomination because the shrinking Republican party is the party of warmongering big government types. I question if the beltway Republican will support him even if he gets the votes.
I think he is the only Republican that can beat the Democrats in the general. A pro war position has very little chance of success and Ron Paul has support from a broad coalition of people from all across the political spectrum.
You may not realize it yet Shane but there is a peaceful revolution going on in this country. A great number of people are sick and tired of what they are getting from government.

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.

We are between laughed and and getting fought right now. Might stay there forever.
Don't forget there's a touch of koolaid in the mixture to create a pissedoff timist.

Then they better elect someone from the Green Party or a true Independent. Because as long as the two partys are in play and pull the strings nothing will change.

If they would let the other parties into the debates and/or on the ballot then that might happen.
Right now the only way to change the system is from within one of the two major parties.

Ron Paul has a decent shot for 3 reasons - Those three are going to beat each other so bad that all Paul needs is just 26% or higher to take the primary.
