Obama. Potentially in a huge 'slide. He is going to murder Mac in the debates.
I think Obama will win, and could win in an historic majority. Been saying that since the earliest days of the election cycle actually...
However, I think the debates will not be nearly as one-sided as you and so many others believe they will be...
In the end, this will boil down to:
- the economy - adding gallons of petrol to the already raging anti-Republican blaze
- the degree to which Mac can meaningfully distance himself from not only Bush, but the Republican Party itself. I really don't believe this is possible, even though he is on the fringes of the current Repubilcan Party...
- Race... just how strong of a factor will this be when it comes time to color in the dot or punch the ticket? Will people say one thing and do another? I believe this would have been a much bigger issue had the current economic crisis not become "the" issue. Whether it's true or not, Americans will largely connect the Repubs to the crisis, and connect Mac to the Repubs... Obama's skin color will simply become much less a factor as a result...
So - it will be ObamaBiden in '08, and it could be a slaughter...

Obama goes down in one of the tightest elections of all time and somehow the American public deems it's not time to jump ship even though the ship is sunk. After all, what's another 4 years of disaster after disaster after disaster after disaster, right?

Polls are statistically tied right now. When you fiddle with the odds, you are tainting the entire "put your money where your mouth is idea."
I am not going to bet on anything with bad odds.
I dont believ them to be bad odds. I dont care what the polls say. We have seen how those turn out. Do you really believe this to be a dead heat? I firmly believe Obama to be the favorite.
2-1 is designed to get people to take the underdog. Which since the very beginning McCain has been.
BTW I iwll be betting Obama. Just need to see hwo much money Im going to have come November
