Nevada
both CNN and Fox are projecting Romney as the clear winner with over 50% of the votes - they have mccain just edging out paul 13% to 12% respectively with Huckabe coming in at around 8% with 38% of the precincts in
they differ greatly on the dem side - both have 3% in - CNN has it a virtual heat between obama and clinton 48% to 46% ....... fox has 64% to 29% obama
scratch that - cnn just updated to 25% reporting on the Dem side and has clinton up 53% to 44% ...... edwards is way behind at 3%
i really hope that clinton doesn't pull this thing out

Paul is in second place in Nevada, currently.

yeah - looks like clinton will grap the state and pick up an additional delegate - with 97% in on the rep side paul is still holding onto 2nd - not the greatest percentage, but nice to see a double figure number for him

From the ground, it sounds like Ron Paul is going to have a lead in delegates, or damn close to Mitt, from Nevada.
And McCain can't catch him for second.

Ron Paul with 13% is great. I sure hope whichever professional politician eventually wins the Presidency that they see what the support for Paul means.
I still can't understand how people can't see that the Hillary Clinton candidacy is nothing more than a long planned end run around the 22nd amendment by Bill Clinton.

I must admit though, I don't really understand the delegate process there.

Don't worry, they don't understand it here, either.
My wife attended our precinct's caucus yesterday and the first hour of the event was spent arguing over how the process worked. Evidently, the written instructions were indecipherable. Finally a woman from the Party came into the room and explained the process, as best she could, and then the actual election of delegates took about 15 minutes to complete.
My wife was selected as a delegate, and now she goes on to a County-wide convention, which will select delegates for the State convention, which will then select delegates for the National Convention (whew!). The way I look at it, it is almost impossible to say who won, because they still have several events to go through to determine the ultimate winner.
All-in-all, it was a great thing to be a part of, but there are definitely some issues that will need to be addressed prior to the next go-around.

I think that this was the first time Nevada used this particular system. Hopefully they learned a lot from the experience and next time it will go smoother.
