View Poll Results: Love / Hate / Don't Care About Obama
I don't think the available options encompass my feelings about the guy. I neither love him nor hate him. I HATE and loath Hillary Clinton so I would campaign like Obama was Jesus just to keep her out of office.
I take much more solice in the fact that my Obama vote will cancel out a Hillary vote than anything else. Her national health care plan will not only be tied up in the Legislature for years, if passed, would suck the life from this country
I prefer him over McCain and Clinton, but I don't love (or even like) a lot of his policies. I do think he might be what America needs at this moment in history, though....I think he's an anti-GWB. We need to chart a new course at home and abroad, and it might take 4 years of a reversal of direction to get that kick-started.

Not enough choices. I find Obama more acceptable, but certainly wouldn't vote against Clinton, even though I've lost some respect for her of late.

Don't know nearly enough about the guy - and what I have seen thus far leads me to conclude that he is far too untested, far too unvetted, and PERHAPS, far too left for my liking...
I don't hate or love the guy but think there's a whole bunch of hope being shoved up our collective arses about this change stuff and it's bs.
NOTHING will change with obama, nothing. Get over it now because the chickens come home to roost soon. NOTHING will change under obama. My god how can you people pin your hopes on such an obviously standard issue candidate. Pathetic really but I guess it fits your comfort zone of change after all he has a D after his name not an R, big changes indeed.
2012, maybe then we will have enough people balls up for some real change. Until then it looks like we're stuck with the SOS.
Too far left and running on a platform saying he isn't a regular politician.
Look at his voting record 40, you will see he is as close to the middle as it gets...Now, I know the Center is the new left ever since Bush came in, but Hillary's voting record is actually more liberal than his. And, suprisingly to me, Obama is ranked just below Lie-ber-man.
But let's do that. Here is the comparative ranking of all 100 senators-- across the board on all votes, not pre-selected votes-- for the '07-'08 session. As you can see, Obama comes in at #40, just ahead of conservative Max Baucus (D-MT) and moderate Jon Tester (D-MT) and not quite as good as moderates Tom Carper (D-DE) and Byron Dorgan (D-ND). Compared to a die-hard neo-fascist like Jim Inhofe (R-OK), Jim DeMint (R-SC) or John Cornyn (R-TX), Obama seems progressive but his voting record paints a clearly and unmistakably mainstream, moderate picture. By way of comparison, Hillary's rank is #29
OK, you may say, did he turn right in the last session because he wanted to trick Americans into thinking he isn't a flaming liberal? Take a look at his lifetime Senate voting record. It's a bit better, but still very far from "the most liberal." He ranks at #24 (Hillary is #18). Most telling of all, however, since it cuts out party-line procedural votes, is the Chips Are Down score, which ranks senators based on substantive votes based on partisan divisions. This is the one that separates the liberals from the right-wing loons.

If you want to keep the way things are, status quo (F'ed up) go with McCain
If you want to screw things up in a whole new, but strangely familiar way, go with Hillary
If you want to open the door to the way things will be screwed up for the next 30 years, vote for Obama
I want the new blood of screw ups, I'm Obama all the way. Let's face it, Obama could crap Tiffany cuff links, he isn't polishing this turd up. This country is too far gone for the next 8 years to solve anything. I think Obama sets the stage for reform to take over and finally get us out of this glut.........

Do you mean that voting record where instead of stepping up and actually voting on issues he only votes as being PRESENT. Thus avoiding making a decision?

???? proof that he is doing that in Congress more than anyone else?

Did you watch the democratic debate where John Edwards ripped him on that voting record? Specifically bringing up important bills that both him and Hillary both voted on and made a decision? Whereas Obama just voted present more then 100 times?
Im not concerned about everyone else they arent running for president. Obama is. Its obvious Edwards and Hillary dont vote that way or they wouldnt use it as ammunitiion against him.
