Looks to me like McCains Gamble Failed...

He supposedly took the lead in getting House Republican demands inserted into the bailout bill and was supposedly working the phones trying to convince them to vote for the Bill.

But, low and behold, the vast majority of House Pubs voted against it.

Way to "lead" ther Johnny Boy!

Not just that. Everyone from Arizona, his supposed "home state," voted against his wishes.

Great "leadership" there, Johnny.

16 young democratic congressmen who are going to be in a tough battle to get re-elected back home were allowed by Pelosi to vote "no" so they could go back and say that they were against the bill during their campaigns.

All they needed were 10 more votes to pass the legislation.

So sayeth Karl Rove on Bill O'Reilly tonight.

Can anyone find some hard reporting to back this up? Seems pretty ugly of her to do, on the heels of her horrible 5 minute diatribe against Bush.

But whatever..... They will figure it out.

With Karl Rove and Nancy Pelosi, the biggest political opportunist currently in the Democratic party as the two parties involved, I consider it a wash.
Probably happened, but I wont believe until someone other than Rove says it.
