I still have a gut feeling Shaq will be better next season (2008/2009) after our docs have a full off season to work their magic on the Big Saguaro!

It's just a leak, so don't take it too seriously yet. I think it would be an interesting move -- she just might be someone who could whip State into line, although she and Bill do have a fair amount of Saudi connection.

As long as she goes nowhere near Bosnia, she can have it.

On second thought, I don't really like it.

They disagreed in the primaries (pretty fiercely) about how/when we should negotiate with foreign countries. Not sure I like Hillary as the country's top diplomat.

Meh. It really doesn't tickle me too much - I'd think that HRC would me much more prone to do her own thing and cause the administration a large amount of problems in this post.

I'd like to see someone else.

As for HRC - put her in a domestic post, not a foreign one.

This may be a way to let Kerry know he's not in line. Today they're saying he's even spoken to HRC about it, but we'll see. She'd be polished, firm, overseas a lot, and again, managing foggy bottom is a daunting task, and requires a strong hand.

Bill Richardson is the guy I want in that post. He would be fantastic! Kerry speaks a lot of foreign languages, and maybe he would be better as our head guy at the United Nations!

One thing I heard, is SOS is the one post that has the least amount of power in the cabinet. That's why they would consider Hillary. On the other hand, her husband has his world organization and is taking money from world leaders and such, so if Hillary was SOS, that would make Bill a HUGE lobbyist in effect.

Agreed.

If we are going to make healthcare to all Americans, I'm sure we'd need someone to control that. Get rid of the Homeland Security and make a new Health Care cabinet position. She isn't qualified enough for Surgeon General.

Chuck Hagel needs to be the guy. Respected Republican - shows good bipartisan support in a top spot and he and Obama have a great working relationship already.

ugh - hillary hasn't exactly shined brightly on the world stage and I can't see her in any role that requires and ounce of diplomacy

as for creating more government and giving her a role to help oversee creation of a healthcare administration - i thought she already flopped in that regard

don't get me wrong - the faster she is out of NYS the better IMO, but I really don't want her to have her hands on anything semi important
