Gustav & the Republican Convention

A blessing in disguise?
Because of Gustav, Bush and Cheney's speeches have been cancelled.
The Republicans are no longer required to parade in front of America what they are so desperately trying to distance themselves from.
I think they are breathing a collective sigh of relief.

I for one have a long memory and will not forget.

Could be. It all depends, if Hanna hits FL on Thursday, McCain is going to have to decide on how to handle his speech.

Then again, given the previous arrogance of this administration, I wouldn't be surprised to have a video recorded round of speeches on Wednesday - Thursday for all the speakers that missed the convention.

I suppose it's a double edge sword. The convention does give you a bump. It is the party's way of starting off the general election, gets the base fired up. Sure, you don't have to have Still President Bush speak, but what (if anything) do you lose if it's a very quiet convention?

Can you see the Irony?

I see no irony what so ever!
Unless you are suggesting the these same people prayed for a natural disaster to disrute the speeches of Bush and Cheney.

What I do see is a perverted whacko. That is one of the major problems with this country.

How do you even come across this stuff?

O, I can't believe you didn't hear about this. You do realize that Joe was making fun of him, don't you? Of course the guy is a whacko and that's basically what Joe was saying. The irony is that he prayed for the Demo Convention to be disrupted, but instead the Repub Convention is interrupted.

If you didn't understand...then say so. What I am implying is that the guy wanted to "damper" Obam's speech @ the convention with rain...it happened to his party's convention instead...Is that not Irony?

How do I come across this stuff? It was on MSNBC, CNN , Fox and every other cable news show right before the Dem's convention. That's how I "come across" this stuff.

Even when I throw them a bone, they still don't get it. Glad you were able to understand 40.

Well, I guess I'm not as "in tune" as you guys are. Why would you know, or even pay any attention to this whacko?

Joe. If I misunderstood you I'm sorry.

Those type of people offend me to my core and I get passionate about it.

Ok, I get it and I misntrepeted your statement.
Personally, I don't watch the "news" shows.
So please excuse my ignorance.

BTW? Who exactly are "them"?

Joe, that's pretty funny except that this actually helps the Republicans. I guarantee there isn't one person running for office this time around who wanted the rest of America to see George Bush and Dick Cheney speak at this convention. If the wacko's prayers truly backfired... well, I'm not sure who they would rain out. I wasn't too impressed with Palin the other day, and John McCain is horrible at giving speeches. Perhaps if Bobby Jindal's speech was canceled that would be a good thing for the Democrats.

Joe
