How about "none of the above, they all suck".

I didn't see that as an option.

I found vote-smart.org...You and I have different political views, Brian. You vote however you want, I'll vote however I want, & I'll try not to insult your opinions, okay?

Actually, it might be interesting to do two new polls: one where Republicans vote in Democratic primaries and the other vice versa.

(But it would have to be honest...you'd vote for who you'd want as President, not who you'd want the other party to run so they'd be most likely to lose.)

Sorry. I was PWI when I wrote that. Don't even remember doing it.

I do know that in the straw poll Obama was the runaway winner and it's disturbing to me. Not trying to flame but I believe Obama is just the "en vogue" candidate right now and alot of people have never bothered to go "line by line" to see if they agree.

I pulled issues at random and bounced them off some of the major players to compare (except Giulianni, he has none).

What I found was I don't care what Obama says in speeches. I do care how he voted and I disagree with alot of the more important ones.

McCain I love with a few exceptions. He is very middle-of-the-ground, is not a party crony, and appears level headed. I think we as a country need someone like that to pull us out of this Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld mess.

Sorry again about the two PWI posts, I guess I was frustrated at what I see as the general public following a fad and the booze didn't allow me to say it politely.

Here you go...If you are registered as an independent, libertarian, green party or no party you may vote in either primary:

Any person who is registered as no party preference or independent as the party preference or who is registered with apolitical party that is not qualified for representation on the ballot, may vote in the primary election of any one of the political parties that is qualified for the ballot. Amended by Laws 1998, S.C.R. 1014, approved election Nov. 3, 1998, eff. Nov. 23, 1998.

I agree with Obama's philosophy on politics, and some of his stances. I don't agree with some important ones though. He's the best the left has to offer and from a philosophy of politics standpoint I agree with him and feel the same way just across the aisle.

Almost finished with his second book now. I *could* vote for him but I hate his stance on taxes in general. I'm actually left of him on Gay Marriage, which is odd. And the abortion issue is moot in this election as all the front-runners are choice people, even McCain who isn't during the primaries. So it comes down to domestic agendas, IMO and I'll have to hear how Obama can put his pretty words to use...

I'm definitely not looking at Obama as a flavor of the month...but someone who actually could bring a breath of fresh air. Then again, he may be a lying hypocrite but his small record to date hasn't borne that out.
