Did anyone watch Hillary's speech last night. I didn't get a chance to but I heard she did a good job. From what I read it sounds like she is commited to uniting the party and her speech was well received from everyone at the Convention.

Watched it in full. Good speech - said everything that she needed to say, with the only possible exception of being a specific statement stating that Obama was ready to lead.
Rudy G is either nuts, not paying attention, or outright lying if he thinks that the Clinton speech helped McCain. No way, no how, (no McCain). She addressed everything she needed to, did it on target, and hopefully put some claims to rest about the party in fighting.
However, that being said, I think that there were a number of women who were supporting HRC because she was a woman, not because she was the best or because she was a democrat. With her out of the race, those people who were in it because of her sex will probably split between McCain and Obama.
I haven't watched it yet. But Rudy G is claiming that the speech helped the GOP.
Rudy 911 lost all credibility with me during the primaries with his endless parade of 9/11 self-pimping. And of course he's going to spin stuff for the Republicans. Does not make him right.

If she campaigned and acted like she did the in the last few weeks of the primary and how she has been since, she would have been overwhelmingly the nominee. Her staff blew it big time, Bill included.
With that said, Obama and she are practically the same candidate with pretty much the same core beliefs and ambitions.
Anyway a bunch of nice imagery last night. Michelle and family sitting with Biden and family. Bill Clinton's eyes watering during the Hillary intro and during her speech. You could see he was truly proud of last night.
She did a great job tying in her personal quests and how Obama is going to be the guy to lead the country forward and help her fulfill those quests she wants too.
On the speech, I thought it was very, very good. Best I've heard from Hillary ever. She should have mentioned a blurb about Obama being ready to lead, but in general, she made it clear that her folks need to support him.
For those who did not hear it, she made a lengthy reference to all the issues she fought for, and then said Obama was the standardbearer for those issues now, and her supporters need to ask themselves if they were 'in it for her, or in it for the issues'. I thought that was a brilliant way to help cut through the noise, unite the party and move on with this election.
And, she worked in a very moving and powerful theme on the progress for women with the right to vote and in society in general. Very appropriate given her historic candidacy, and since yesterday was the anniversery of the 19th amendment ratification.
Now it's Bill's turn not to tank an Obama election. We'll see how it goes...
