Candidate Profiles?

Is there a good site out there with presidential candidate (even speculative candidates) profiles? I'm looking for fairly in-depth insights: background, voting record, issue stances any historical lobby connections, etc...

Thanks!

Links to John Edwards but you can look up any of our elected leaders.

Great info on their voting record.

That's an interesting site, but so much seems dated.

What I'd really like to have is a spreadsheet type thing, with the biggie issues summarized for each candidate...I've been searching all morning, but can't find a single depository of information like that.

not exactly what you're looking for, but helpful nonetheless.

if someone makes a list of all the candidates, i could throw a spreadsheet together. also, what should be considered in the "big issues" list?

actually, it seems vote smart does have a good little breakdown. it lists all announced and possible candidates, with link to each of their individual info.

Jenna, if you put that spreadsheet together you would A) be a hero, and B) have waaaaayy too much free-time.

My first pass on the issues (in no particular order) would look something like this:

Economy/Jobs
Taxes/Budget
Social Security
Health Care
Abortion
Gay Rights
Immigration
Iraq
National Defense

That's a very good idea.

We need an official candidate profile for our Non-Presidental election.
