Ok folks, its time to start calling in sick for tommorrow. Do whatever you have to do to get there.
Even if you are a Republican or don't plan on voting for him, you won't want to miss this moment in history coming to Phoenix.

If you find out more about his actual arrival schedule, let us know? I have a couple friends who want to go but can't get there until more like 4:30 and want to know if it's worth the hassle to get there that late.
I will be there.

Meeting/seeing people like Obama -- no matter your political inclinations -- is an experience that shouldn't be missed.
When I say "like Obama," I mean even those like GW Bush. My inlaws (as liberal and politcally active as most people get) met him and said he was an incredible presence. So much different in person than on TV.
I think even the bumblers are charismatic in person. I imagine someone known for his charisma must seem a virtual diety in person.

My father in law dislikes Dubya's policies and presidency greatly, but he works high up in the forest service in DC, and has met him on a few occasions...he said Dubya is incredibly charismatic and when he talks to you, you are the center of his attention. He said you can't come away not liking the man.

Power is very intoxicating to be around. Especially when that person is nice to you. Smiling, looking in the eye, shaking hands and kissing babies is a tried and true winning formula.

We're hooked up (having a 15 year old has its perks). DCR & I will be there.

So wear a shirt, if you feel you must protest.

I have been to 2 of these already, and my guess is that the doors will open about an hour ahead of time. Not sure what capacity is for the "Madhouse on McDowell", but barring a "sellout", your friends should still get in, but perhaps not the best seats unless you save some for them.
