All politics aside;
CNN's broadcast in HD just looks stunning!
Every debate they've had since day one has just looked great.
The other news channels should take notice.

I thought Obama looked good and did fine. Hillary was OK, not a knockout by any means, although her closing was very good.

One of the anchors said later that backstage the two of them were joking about how tall their Secret Service guys were, and that a couple of them had run out to buy new cowboy boots during the day. Pretty funny.

I thought they both did well, Barack once again stamped out the attacks pretty forcefully, and Hillary looked a bit petty with some of her attacks. Nice moment at the end though when they shook hands, etc.

Obama will win by double digits in Texas. This debate gave absolutely no reason for anyone to dump Obama for Hillary. Or, if undecided, to hitch to her losing wagon. Obama will have to commit a felony to not get nominated.

Right afterwards, they said that the closing was "plagiarized." Lifting the words from John Edwards.

Really? I hadn't heard that. I did hear a couple CNN analysts say it sounded to them like she was preparing her 'bowing out' speech. A couple made the interesting observations that if running a campaign is any hint at all of how you'd run a gov't, Obama has a fiscally very smart, well-run, responsive, message-attuned campaign, while hers has been financially a bit careless, scattered, and has proven not very creative or flexible -- that in discussions two days ago with her top advisors, they were stunned to discover they seemed to think just keep doing what she's doing would somehow convince people.

Hey Hillary, way to use the soldiers' suffering for your political gain in that closing. Just my opinion...

I thought it was telling that Hillary kept nodding when Obama would talk. That is not the sign of a candidate who has taken the gloves off to change momentum.

Holy moly, DCR, that is a total rip off. In the same debate that she used the lame xerox line, she does that? Sheesh

Guilty admission: First thing I said when I turned on the debate, "well her hair looks better." Sorry all, appearance on TV is a factor in these things.

Linder made the "well, at least her necklace isn't messed up" line.

I was thinking she went too conservative with that necklace, but it was pretty good. Obama's suit/tie combo had her beat from the start. No way she could compete with it.

her closing was pretty good and I agree that her attacks ended up coming up very pety and obama did a very good job at focusing the debate on policy - pretty much setting the message of "you say i'm all words and no policy, here i am to discuss policy and you attack me over words?!"

hillary had a really good closing - however, why must she smirk through the whole debate? - beyond annoying - serious issues being discussed and she has to fight back a giggle?!
