Who should rule the world?
OK, this is totally tasteless, but I got to thinking -- the Muslims and some others are afraid the Zionists plan to dominate the world (see 'Global antisemitism' thread), a lot of people are afraid the Muslims plan to rule the world, esp. since many openly say that's the plan, within the Muslim community the Sunni and Shi'a fear each other will rule the world, some extreme Christians announce they want to rule the world their way, and some people worry about China in that regard. Of course everyone accuses the USA.
No doubt I'm missing one or two, but...
I'm going to leave the USA off this poll because it's such an obvious walk-away winner for pretty much anyone posting here.
Assuming one of these options WILL dominate the globe, which would you prefer?

As an athiest I picked the Jews because they're the least pain in the ass of all religions. I've never had a jew tell me I need to convert to their religion. I've never had jews come knocking on my door trying to give me pamphlets. I've never had a jew tell me that I'm going to hell for not believing in his/her religion. I sure as hell wouldn't want the entire world to be ruled the way the middle east is. China doesn't believe in basic human rights. I like being able to safely voice my opinion with the only retaliation being a snide remark on a message board.

Not trying to pick a fight, or sound anti-semetic, but it is my understanding that Jews absolutely believe anyone that is not Jewish is going to hell.
I voted "other"; ideally, as a Christian, I'd like to see Christianity accepted around the world, but that doesn't translate into "ruling", so I guess I just don't know. If forced to make a choice, it would be Christians, but not the crazy extremists. I'd rather see the Jewish rule the world before them--at least they're relatively tolerant & peaceful. I don't view the extremist Christians as tolerant--which would be the main reason I disagree with most of their views.
BTW, AZZenny--weird poll.

Uh, you don't anti-semitic - you sound uninformed. It would be pretty tough for Jews to believe anyone that is not Jewish is going to hell when the Jews for the most part don't believe in the existence of hell.
I always thought it was Christianity that believes if you don't believe in Christ you are going to hell. Could be wrong. Maybe it's the Mormons.
That being said, the Jews do rule the world and being a Jew, man does that rock!

Why -- thank you!  I was reading a bunch of Middle eastern blogs and papers, and the comment about 'Horrors! Zionists want to rule the world' comes up fairly often (It's sort of the 'Ummmm....' or "y'know" of Arab discourse) but here and there are comments about if Iran prevails, watch out Sunnis, and maybe Hamas will get together with Israel because of their fear of Iran; what a terribly poor, badly run society Syria is, how repressive the Saudi version of Sunni Islam would be and they will try to exterminate the Shia...
Then I saw this fascinating comment by a former Palestinian now living elsewhere who said, 'heck, when Israel ran Gaza fifteen or twenty years ago, more people had jobs, there was law, there were cafes, goods to buy in the shops, there were farms, basic utilities -- it was the least corrupt and most satisfactory rule we've had, other than being occupied and the general military vigilance and harrassment all the time.'
Just struck me as really ironic. So -- this poll.
btw, to add to Cheese's comment, 'Zionist' Jews have laws tolerating the practice of other religions, although proseletyzing and trying to convert people is against the law in Israel.
