That is a good one. Nice work.
I think the USA stays in the forefront for another century. Although the gap will close dramatically.

I voted China because the US will never recover financially from the past presidencies of:
Jeb Bush
George W. Bush III
Ahmed Bush
Jenna Bush
George H. W. Q. Bush
Jeb W. G. Bush
and
George J. A. W. S. Bush

Powerful in terms of economic and military might?
I'll still place my money on the U.S....in 100 years communist china would still be recovering from the political revolution that starts in 2065.

I'll go you one better and say it starts in the next 10 years. There's big dollars going into that economy, the wages are going up and the masses are starting to understand how the rest of the world lives thanks to TV, internet, etc.

I'm thinking that if China moves further and further towards democracy and then opens into a real free market economy, they will far surpass us unless we reverse course and move away from any sense of an entitlement and welfare state.
We're just like all the other historical world powers. We're getting soft from within. Someone will overtake us, and it looks like China is the odds on favorite.
EDIT: I'd throw India into the voting too.

I put China because I don't think it will take that long for the revolution (if they don't gradually change on their own)...and they will have long since recovered.
...But I pray I'm wrong.
