I want to say send in the military.

But at this time we're stuck in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Aid is being redirected and stolen by various factions...reports of genocide have been published...and its turning into a nice breeding ground for Islamic radicals...

So the next choice would be to send in logistical support.

To bad we can't recruit the Hessian's like the British did back in 1776...

Its amazing that Darfur is still twisting in the wind...last year this was a topic for discussion...unfortunately it seems we havn't made much progress.

Our next war: the Sudan.

There are certain people who think that if something doesn't affect Americans directly, it's not worth doing anything about.

The whole continent of Africa is a disaster. There is not one healthy nation on the continent. If the bonfire is put out in Darfur/Sudan, where next? Maybe there is no correct answer.

Wow we agree!

I say send logistics. Let some other countries find out what its like to "help" people.

I couldn't agree more. Not our problem, let them deal with it.

Just to clarify...I am not one of the people who thinks we should ignore it (i.e., Stefan and I do not agree...big shocker, I know... ).

I picked logistical support only because of our ongoing committments. If we had the werewithall and accurate info, I'd say send the B52's over there and bomb the perpetrators into oblivion. The problem is do we know who the good and bad guys are?

I have no problem using our military to remove scum of the earth!!

We could nickname our Army..... 'Simple Green'.

I vote for logistical support as well. It'll have to wait until we get troops out of Iraq and Afganistan.
