View Poll Results: The U.S. Drinking Age: Should it be ...
increased (say to 25)
decreased (say to 18 )
remain the same (21 years old)
Proponents of keeping the drinking age at 21 or increasing it further contend that alcohol-related crimes and accidents have been reduced since the drinking age was raised in the early 80s. http://www.madd.org/stats/0,1056,2353,00.html
Those wanting to lower the drinking age contend that statistics are skewed, that you can serve your country, vote for president, but can't have a legal drink. Only four on the entire planet. Ukraine, South Korea, Malaysia, and the United States have a 21-age limit to drink. All other countries have lower drinking ages, and many don't have any drinking age at all. http://www.indiana.edu/~engs/articles/cqoped.html
So, thoughts?

18. no reason why i should be allowed to fight a war and not have a drink afterwards. or, for that matter, if i can get married without my parents permission, i want to legally have champagne at my wedding.
I say keep it the same.... 18 years old isn't a mature age, especially for men. 18 year olds can barely drive sober, no need to add in the decision of if they've had to much to drink or not
