I voted option #2, although I suspect you need another poll on what constitutes 'finishing the job.' I don't support a 100% pull-out in a matter of days, for example, but careful and steady disengagement. I do not support a long-term (i.e. several-year) presence -- that's for sure.

I voted #1 only because the poll is so vague and I know your idea of "finishing the job" is the same idea as Bush's. The poll is poorly worded, so I had to answer inaccurately. I don't believe in just up and leaving because we destroyed a country and tens of thousands of lives, but there is no accurate answer and I don't belong to any "camp". That's the same line of thinking as GWB's "You're either with us or with the terrorists" schtick....

ok, my objective was just to see who would say, "get up and leave right now." beyond that, i know there are varying time tables.

I just don't want to see a premature pullout. That would make a mess.

The country of Iraq would literaly implode onto itself if we pulled out immediately. You wanna see a civil war, then pull out now. That country would shatter into 15 different countries in a matter of months each led by their own "General"....

We need to leave now because its a mess, get out of the way of the civil war and send Iraqi Gov't money to rebuild. Don't need our troops for that.

It's easier to invade Iran and Syria from the ground.

We've had pretty good access to another of Iran's neighbors for a while.

It is land locked. Sea ports provide more equipment in a shorter timeframe. But yeah we could get them from two fronts.

What the hell does "finish the job" mean? This poll makes no sense... I want neither selection.
