Why does everyone say it wouldn't matter? I don't think you are looking at the big picture. Finding WMD's in Iraq would be nothing but trouble - at the very least it would indicate more is out there unaccounted for.

I'd be glad.
Then maybe the 2000+ dead American troops, the 10000 physically and/or emotionally shattered, the 30000+ Iraqis killed would have some meaning.

It would be great if it was just coincidence that the occupation of Iraq has been in the neoCON plans for 15 years.

I voted it wouldn't matter...

We are in this for the long haul regardless of WMD. It may justify the war more for some but really what difference does it make.

I guess I have to realize that some Americans just enjoy foreign adventures and "nation building" for ingrate alien cultures.
My sentiments are not so noble.
I'm for fortress America, the Arab world can piss off.

It doesn't matter. The only thing it would accomplish is to lose a talking point for the Demos. We are where we are. We need to look forward instead of nitpicking past occurences and trying to make political hay at the expense of our military.

no - it's what we don't find that would worry me - We find it, means "they" didn't.
I guess a lot of Americans have bought into Empire.
"Spreading democracy" is a BS reason - always has been.

There already are WMD's unaccounted for, not only in Iraq but also in the former USSR (nuclear materials) and possibly elsewhere.

It would be a good thing from the standpoint the some materials have been accounted for. But nothing to be estatic about...

Fairly weak argument in my opinion.

It would be bad because it would mean there actually are loads of chemical weapons buried out their for asswipe terrorists to get their hands on and attack our troops.

I know I voted it wouldn't matter, but I think that conservatives would be dancing in the streets.

It would rejuvinate W and fix all the problems in the Republican Party.

Watch for it to "happen".
