View Poll Results: Did Noah's flood create the Grand Canyon.
Many people on this board believe this. Many people are trying to prove the Old Testament's absolute literacy. They aren't proud of it on this board though. I posted 3 threads in a row to try and draw you guys out.
Here is their scientific proof: We used to be like Saturn, that is where all the extra water came from.
"it is reasonably speculated that at one time the earth was covered by some kind of water canopy. This canopy could have been a vapor canopy or could have consisted of rings, somewhat like Saturn's ice rings. This, in combination with a major layer of water underground, both being released upon the land (Genesis 2:6) would have resulted in a global flood."

I think that DK's point is that since there is no mention of the Grand Canyon in the Bible then there is no basis for discussion of the question posed by KoC.

Being as Bible literalists claim that the only way the Grand Canyon could have been created is through Noah's Flood, I think it is a legitimate question.

Perhaps some "Bible literalists" make that claim, but certainly not all. I think that it may be more accurate to say that some "literalists" see the flood as being one possible explanation.

Then how else do literalists claim the Grand Canyon was created?
What percentage of Christian are literalist?
I know some Christians, but they all say that the "Days" of Genesis are metaphoric and that the Earth is at least millions of years old.
