I think Tom Cruise is a fruitloop, but I really enjoy his movies. Conversely I think Ben Affleck has a lot of good things to say, but I have really disliked some of his movies.
Really it makes no difference.

Absolutely! An arse is an arse and I won't waste my time on one
I dont watch Susan Surandan(sp) movies or Richard Geer and several others. Why should I help them by paying to watch their movies.

Are you kidding? What has one's politics got to do with their acting ability?

If someone is really offensive (to me) then it might marginally affect my decision, if they are a star in a film - but with a few very appealing exceptions, it's more about the overall quality of the film than any particular actor.

The only person I won't watch because of politics is Hanoi Jane. I don't watch her because I don't think she deserves to breathe. And, oh yeah, she's supposedly a crummy actress to boot

Not really. I wouldn't care about the politics of my fireman, policeman, or grocery store clerk.
Now I might skip a film for the politics of the movie but probably not for the actors.
As far as movies in the theater I am really picky anyway.

I wonder what Wallace (of Wallace & Gromit) thinks of the "war on terror".

The last thing I want to know about an actor is his/her political leanings. When they take it upon themselves to tell me about their political opinions, it ticks me off.
I picked the first option.

Who cares what thier politics are? They have a right to speak out just like any of the rest of us.
I will watch a good movie even if it has somebody I hate politically.

Actors are allowed thier opinions just like everybody else, but that doesn't mean people need to contribute to their celebrity and further their stage for their political "agendas" if they don't want to.
I won't see a Jane Fonda movie. But, I don't care for a bunch of other actor's views and will see theirs. Fonda took it to another level for me, though.
And, no, of course an actor's political leanings don't have anything to do with their acting ability. But what does that have to do with the poll?

Silly partisan finger pointing, Kolo....
What actually prompted me to ask this question was my sister's refusal to see Tom Cruise movies because of his rant against psych drugs.
...but go ahead and interpret it anyway you like.....
Besides..... you could also refer to Charleton Heston, Tom Selleck, or "Ahnold"
