Yes. Exactamundo.

Is someone counting or keeping track who is being patriotic? Is someone worried were not all standing in a straight line? Seems to be so inane that all of the 'good little citizens" have to take their oath of allegiance on a permabasis. First they require us to constantly iterate our patriotism and then tell us that we must , in the least" recognize the existence of a " magic " entity. Damn, I have better things to do.

Stooooopid ritual.

I say it does not matter, but for those that want it gone or choose not to say it I think you guys should start working on all those holidays and paid days off of work that you take based on religious holidays...

No more paid Christmas for you..

I'm fine with that. I'd much rather choose the days I don't have to work.

I work with a Jewish chap who has taken a few days off this month for religious purposes. He uses vacation time, but he is forced to take "normal" holidays off paid on days meaningless to him.

I think he should be able to take the set number of paid holidays and distribute them to match his religious calendar.

Me, I just enjoy a three day weekend now and then.

At my work we now get 5 "Floating Holidays", that we can use whenever we want, instead of 5 fixed holidays. Most people just use them with the traditional US holidays. However it gives others the option to use them on non-traditional holidays.
