So so if the apple doesnt usually fall far from the tree? How did you guys end up so different? You to the left and your brother to the right? Just curious if you know? I could be wrong but my guess would be your brothers time in the military gave him more of a right slanted view on the world?

The military would be my guess; although my other brother was also in the military and leans more left.
I also personally don't think Brian is as right as he projects himself to be. He'd laugh at that...I just think the things he leans to the right on, he leans REALLY right & that's why he is viewed that way.
He took some "where do you fall" test on here once & it supported my claims...

Very much so fiscally...slash government & taxes. Very much libertarian in my social views, for the most part. Also have very much a constitutional viewpoint. Which is why I latched right on to RP when I first heard him speak. To me, I was like "uhm, no ish...that's exactly how I view things." All those tests always put me in the centrist libertarian area. At the end of the day, almost always, I make decisions based on fiscal reasons. At the local government level, I prefer many democrats, interestingly enough.
I also have a massive lack of confidence in the ability of federal government to be successful. Even at its very best...which we definitely don't have right now.

Yeah, I see it on the fiscal side...but libertarians & liberals don't differ that much on social views, from what I've seen.
